Background: This case study investigates the effect of a five-session whole-body cryostimulation (WBC) cycle on 55-year-old female patient with cerebral palsy (CP) and lower limb spasticity (LLS) typical diplegic gait pattern. CP is common physical disability characterized by motor impairments, including spasticity, which significantly impacts mobility quality life. The current treatments for often have limited efficacy considerable side effects, making alternative therapies like WBC an area interest. Methods: underwent 10-day inpatient rehabilitation program integrated five sessions at −110 °C 2 min. treatment effects were assessed immediately before after using Ashworth Scale, Fugl-Meyer Assessment, H-reflex test, analysis. Psychosocial outcomes measured SF-36, WHO-5, PSQI, ESS, BDI questionnaires. Results: Immediately cycle, analysis showed increased walking speed (0.48 to 0.61 m/s left; 0.49 0.57 right) step length (0.30 0.38 m 0.30 0.35 right). H/M ratio in test improved, indicating better neuromuscular efficiency. assessments revealed 42.5% reduction pain 24% improvement overall life well-being. Discussion Conclusions: objective improvements parameters modulation, along subjectively reported enhancements functional abilities, highlight potential as valuable addition strategies this population. Central sensitisation is defined as a multifactorial etiopathogenetic condition involving an increase in the reactivity of nociceptive neurons and alterations pain transmission perception central nervous system. Patients may present with widespread chronic pain, fatigue, sleep disturbance, dizziness, psychological (e.g., depression, anxiety, anger) social impairment. Pain can be spontaneous onset persistence, characterised by exaggerated response spread beyond site origin, sometimes triggered non-painful stimulus. Whole-body cryostimulation (WBC) could adjuvant therapy management this type because its global anti-inflammatory effect, changes cytokines hormone secretion, reduction nerve conduction velocity, autonomic modulation, release neurotransmitters involved pathway. In several conditions fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, musculoskeletal pain), WBC affects physical performance, perception, aspects. Given multiple targets effects at different organs levels, appears to versatile treatment for wide range rehabilitation interest.

Phantom limb pain (PLP) is a challenging condition affecting significant proportion of amputees. In this article, we describe the case 54-year-old Paralympic athlete with phantom syndrome following right leg amputation and widespread sports-related enthesitic who underwent whole-body cryostimulation (WBC) cycle, an emerging treatment known for its rapid pain-relieving anti-inflammatory effects. Assessments were conducted before after 10-session WBC including quality life assessment use medications. A substantial reduction in pain, PLP intensity, paresthesia, tingling related to atmospheric events improved function reported cycle lasted two weeks. One month WBC, sports activity gradually returned, but lesser intensity. Similarly, stump’s sensitivity changes lower frequency. Pain at night remained than significantly sleep. This study suggests that could be valuable adjuvant alleviating PLP. Controlled studies are warranted validate findings report elucidate mechanisms underlying positive effects condition.
