In this paper, serial elastic actuators (SEAs) in conjunction with an accelerometer are proposed as force sensors to detect the intention of movement, and SEA is a gentle actuator patient’s upper-limb exoskeleton. A smooth trajectory provide comfortable performance. There offset between link motor, which increases safety by preventing sudden movements, equivalent torsional spring constant. The control law based on backstepping approach tested real-time experiments robust results 2-DoF rehabilitation experimental showed sensitivity 100% positive predictive value 97.5% for movement detection.
