Objective
:

Multiple
sclerosis
(MS)
is
a
chronic
inflammatory
disease
of
the
central
nervous
system
(CNS)
characterized
by
destruction
myelin
sheath
structure.
The
loss
leads
to
damage
neuron’s
axon
and
cell
body,
which
identified
as
brain
lesions
on
magnetic
resonance
image
(MRI).
pathogenesis
MS
remains
largely
unknown.
However,
immune
mechanisms,
especially
those
linked
aberrant
lymphocyte
activity,
are
mainly
responsible
for
neuronal
damage.
Th1
Th17
populations
lymphocytes
were
primarily
associated
with
pathogenesis.
These
essential
differentiation
encephalitogenic
CD8
+
T
crossing
blood
barrier
targeting
in
CNS.
B-lymphocytes
could
also
contribute
producing
anti-myelin
basic
protein
antibodies.
In
later
studies,

Objectives:
To
investigate
the
clinico-epidemiological
characteristics
of
multiple
sclerosis
(MS)
in
southern
region
Republic
Azerbaijan,

Methods:

prospective,
single-center,

1,
2013,
to
December
31,
2022.

patients

treatment

Program.

individuals

Neurological
Center,

confirmed
cases
were

prevalence

per

calculated
using
world
European
standards.

Results:

years,
higher
than
countrywide

Dopamine
is
a
neurotransmitter
that
mediates
neuropsychological
functions
of
the
central
nervous
system
(CNS).
Recent
studies
have
shown
modulatory
effect
dopamine
on
cells
innate

adaptive
immune
systems,

cells,
which
play
critical
role
in
inflammatory
diseases

Objectives
Multiple
sclerosis
(MS)

progressive
demyelinating
and
degenerative
disease
of
the
CNS,

variable
geographically.

objectives
are

nationwide
MS
epidemiological

studies
conducted
in
regional
international
communities.
