Students' psychological wellness is one of the key elements that improve their well-being and shape academic progress in realm language learning. Among various strategies, physical exercise emerges as an effective approach, allowing learners to manage emotions considerably. Employing a quasi-experimental research design, this study examines impact three-month running intervention on emotional regulation behaviors among L1 (Arabic language) L2 (English foreign learning) students. Data was collected at three (pre-test, mid-test, post-test) intervals, focusing cognitive reappraisal (CR) expressive suppression (ES) constructs regulation. The results showed abilities both groups were considerably impacted by exertion differed significantly, with students' CR skills significantly improving ES decreasing over time. However, no significant interaction effect between time (L1 L2) groups' observed, suggesting universally benefits regardless learning context. Conversely, observed ES, students experiencing more reduction compared counterparts, highlighting unique challenges faced effectiveness activity mitigating these challenges. highlight importance enhancing students, particularly second Given this, regular programs should be incorporated into educational curricula support success. This study aims explore influence mechanism physical on residents and mediating role health status social development cognition in relationship. Methods Based data from China’s comprehensive survey 2021, 7,923 valid samples were selected. Three variables, such as participation, status, cognition, used residents’ Multiple linear regression models, structural equation bootstrap methods employed assess effects these variables. Results (1) ( β =0.084, t = 4.67) promote positive psychology. (2) has a effect impact well-being, with calculated at 0.05 (95% CI [0.01, 0.09]). (3) The cognitive level documented 0.04 0.08]). (4) Both collectively exhibit chain relationship between combined 0.07 [0.04, 0.10]). Conclusion Participation activity serving mediators Consequently, it recommended that both government various societal sectors intensify efforts activity. Resilience, positive adaptive trait, serves as key protective factor in children's health. While studies indicate that physical activity (PA) enhances resilience, its underlying mechanisms remain unclear. This study aims to examine the relationship between PA focus on mediated roles executive function (EF) emotion regulation (ER). Methods: A cross-sectional was conducted sample 971 primary school students from grades 2 6 (mean age = 9.8 years) Yangzhou City, Jiangsu Province. The Physical Activity Rating Scale (PARS-3), Adolescent Resilience (RSCA), Emotion Regulation Strategies Questionnaire for Children Adolescents (ERQ-CA), Computerized Neuropsychological Assessment System were used evaluate relevant variables. SPSS 29.0 AMOS data analysis structural equation model testing. Results: The results revealed significant correlations resilience (r 0.545, p < 0.01) ER 0.413, 0.01), well negative correlation EF reaction time -0.341, 0.01). found have direct effect (β 0.294, 0.001). Bootstrap mediation jointly formed chain-mediated pathway accounting 17.39% total indirect effect. Among them, played most prominent independent mediating role, contributing 68.38% Conclusions: This elucidates through which influences via regulation, highlighting crucial role cognitive skills this process. These findings not only enhance understanding development but also offer new perspectives designing interventions promote Future educational policies should integrate cognitive-emotional training effectively ability cope stress challenges.
