This research explores the determinants affecting academic researchers’ acceptance of AI writing tools using Theory Reasoned Action (TRA). The impact attitudes, subjective norms, and perceived barriers on intentions to adopt these technologies is examined through a cross-sectional survey 150 researchers. ChatGPT, an AI chatbot created by OpenAI in November 2022, has caught the attention of scholars due to its potential higher education. Despite benefits personalized learning, academic assistance, and task automation, concerns remain regarding impact on students' logical reasoning integrity. Drawing Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), this study explored predictors behavioral intention use ChatGPT (BIU) for purposes among university students Mogadishu, Somalia. Recent advancements in natural language processing (NLP) and large models (LLM) such as ChatGPT, have generated high expectations concerns regarding the future impact of AI on education learning. In light this, our goal was to investigate usage ChatGPT among social work students identify factors that predict its adoption according Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). To achieve we conducted an online study with a sample (N = 875). The results revealed has been widely adopted, 80% reporting use for study-related tasks. However, frequency moderate.
