This research explores the psychological transition that occurs in dating app users from Fear of Missing Out (FOMO) to Joy (JOMO) using Stressor–Strain–Outcome (SSO) model. An online survey 410 Tinder reveals FOMO significantly influences self-disclosure and social media stalking behaviors, which leads user fatigue eventually JOMO. also finds privacy concerns play a moderating role this process. In particular, results show heightened increases stalking, intensifies fosters Privacy modulate relationship between FOMO, fatigue, JOMO, thus playing critical interactions with apps. These insights help elucidate socio-psychological behaviors can inform design reduce enhance well-being.
