Focusing on the agricultural area of “Capo Due Rami” in Rome, this research aims to interpret architectural features rural dwellings through a typological analysis. Drawing data collected from direct surveys, historical records, cartographic materials, and documentary sources, morphological settlement evaluation constructions refines traditional methods techniques used analysis residential models. Using specifically designed observation sheets, study highlights how reclamation drainage works carried out predominantly between 19th 20th centuries have influenced typology buildings their relationship with environment. The findings underscore that morphotype derives practical demands agriculture functional requirements life, incorporating targeted solutions address sanitary environmental concerns. sheets were integrate qualitative indicators, drawing previous investigative experiences While adhering established methodologies, they been modified reflect specific Rami”. This approach has made it possible highlight distinctive area, such as proximity canals.

Hakka Tulou (Earthen Buildings) represent a unique form of vernacular architecture in China. However, with the rapid advancement modern construction, many unreported are gradually disappearing. To address this issue, it is imperative to explore, study, and protect these structures. This study aims investigate material properties red soil, primary construction used Tulou, evaluate its role enhancing structural resilience buildings. Specifically, research focuses on analyzing shear strength, density, water content, plastic limit, liquid limit comparing performance that loess. Through experimental testing, findings demonstrate soil exhibits superior stress resistance compared loess, particularly under increasing vertical pressure. These results not only provide deeper understanding contribute durability but also offer valuable insights for their preservation regeneration. By integrating traditional cultural practices sustainable materials, contributes development effective strategies ensuring continued relevance face challenges.
