Melanoma
is

AbstractOBJECTIVE
Malignant
melanoma,
one
of
the
most
metastatic
human
cancers,
is
on
rise
globally.
However,
its
low
prevalence
leads
to
insufficient
concern
and
latest
worldwide
burden
remains
unclear.
This
study
aims
update
epidemiological
features
prompt
timely
impactful
interventions.
METHODS
Weanalysed
malignant
melanoma
incidence,
disability-adjusted
life
years
(DALYs),
mortality
trends
from
1990
2021
across
204
countries
using
GBD
data.
We
also
projected
incidence
rates
for
next
two
decades.
RESULTS
Globally,
age-standardized
rate
(ASIR)
in
was
3.6
per
100,000
people
with
estimated
annual
percentage
change
(EAPC)
ASIR
1990–2021
0.6%.
The
DALYs
(ASDR)
19.6
ASDR
