Abstract This retrospective cohort study aimed to determine the prevalence of anemia among patients with gynecological cancer prior any treatment and identify contributing factors associated in this group. We retrospectively analyzed data from female aged 18 above, diagnosed various forms at The Affiliated Hospital Southwest Medical University between February 2016 March 2021. Anemia was assessed based on most recent CBC results before treatment. Eligibility a definitive histopathological diagnosis. Key variables included demographic details, clinical characteristics, blood counts, focusing hemoglobin levels. Statistical analysis conducted using logistic regression models, defined as levels below 12 g/dL for women, according WHO criteria. Of 320 participants, significant found. Correlations like age, educational level, biological markers (iron, folic acid, vitamin B12 levels) were identified. In our study, we found that 59.06%, indicating health concern within population. highlights cancer, emphasizing need regular screening individualized management. These findings suggest importance considering characteristics management patient Further studies are needed explore long-term effects these outcomes develop targeted interventions.

It has been shown that exercise a direct impact on tumor growth along with functional improvement. Previous studies have decreases the risk of cancer recurrence across various types cancer. was indicated stimulates immune system to fight study demonstrated pulsed-wave ultrasound hyperthermia (pUH) combined PEGylated liposomal doxorubicin (PLD) and chloroquine (CQ) inhibits 4T1 tumors delays their recurrence. In this study, we investigated if combinatorial treatment high-intensity interval training (HIIT) pUH-enhanced PLD delivery CQ improved outcome. The mouse experiment composed three groups, HIIT+PLD+pUH+CQ group, PLD+pUH+CQ control group. group received 6 weeks HIIT (15 min per day, 5 days week) before implantation. Seven later, they therapy (10 mg/kg) + pUH (3 MHz, 50% duty cycle, 0.65 W/cm 2 , 15min) (50 mg/kg daily). Results showed significantly reduced volumes brought about longer survival tumor-bearing mice than did. Blood cell components were analyzed neutrophil reticulocytes decreased while lymphocytes increased after exercise.

Abstract Background Exercise therapy during cancer treatment reduces symptom burden and improves quality of life (QoL). Polycythemia vera (PV) is a myeloproliferative neoplasia associated with good overall survival (up to decades) but significant burden, including thromboembolic events dysesthesias. There are no specific exercise recommendations for patients PV. Thus, we aimed determine the preferences PV derive based on most commonly reported symptoms. Methods This multicenter survey included ≥18 years old. Demographic, clinical, disease data were collected. The severity selected symptoms was assessed using adapted Myeloproliferative Neoplasms Symptom Assessment Form: 0 (absent), 1–30 (mild), 31–70 (moderate), or 71–100 (severe). patients' information needs about physical activity (PA) recorded depending their motivation analyzed regard demographic aspects. Results sample comprised 182 (68% female, 61 ± 12 years). prevalence moderate‐to‐severe 60% fatigue, 44% concentration problems, 35% bone/muscle pain. Other skin reactions (49%), splenomegaly (35%), increased bleeding tendency (28%). Overall, 67% respondents requested more regarding PA. Patients preferred individual training (79%) located outdoors at home (56%). Regarding amount training, sports‐inactive frequency 1–2 times/week session durations 15–45 min, whereas sports‐active 3–4 30–60 min ( p < 0.001). Higher sport‐inactiveness observed in lower educational level compared higher (69% vs. 50%, = 0.021). For beginners, combined resistance‐endurance (circuit) two times/week, which can be performed home, should recommended. In case symptoms, exercises low injury risk chosen. Conclusion PA important PV; therefore, counseling integrated into plan. Specifically, addressed. Prospective studies warranted evaluate effects novel recommendations.

The history of the discoveries that shaped current attitudes to use antidiabetic biguanides, mainly metformin, as antiaging agents is reviewed. Accelerated aging, when biological age surpasses implicated poorer clinical outcomes, especially for breast cancer (BC) survivors undergoing treatments. This preliminary study investigates impact 16-week online supervised physical activity (PA) intervention on post-surgery female BC patients. Telomere length was measured using qPCR, and ELOVL2-based epigenetic clock assessed via DNA methylation pyrosequencing

Cancer therapies, notably chemotherapy, have significantly improved survival rates and quality of life for many patients. However, chemotherapy's cytotoxic effects also impact normal cells, leading to adverse effects, including metabolic disturbances. This paper explores the link between chemotherapy syndrome, a cluster abnormalities that increase risk cardiovascular diseases type 2 diabetes. Understanding predictors, such as specific regimens, patient characteristics, comorbid conditions, lifestyle factors, genetic variations, is crucial formulating personalized care plans preventive strategies. Research indicates older age, female gender, pre-existing diabetes, baseline obesity are significant predictors syndrome in cancer Chemotherapy-induced molecular changes, insulin resistance, dyslipidemia, chronic inflammation, oxidative stress, tissue fibrosis, contribute development this syndrome. Effective management strategies require multidisciplinary approach, incorporating interventions, pharmacological treatments, regular monitoring. underscores importance medicine mitigating risks associated with improving long-term health outcomes survivors. Future research directions include longitudinal studies track over time, mechanistic uncover pathways involved, integrative therapies. By adopting comprehensive models, healthcare providers can enhance overall survivors, addressing both challenges.
