The modified nano-CeO2/Zn–Mn phosphate composite coating was deposited on AZ91D magnesium alloy by chemical conversion to enhance its densification and corrosion resistance. growth mechanism resistance of the is clarified adding different concentrations ZnO a certain amount nano-CeO2 into phosphate-plating solution. XRD EDS show that membrane mainly composed MgO, Mg(OH)2, Mn3(PO4)2·5H20, Zn, Zn3(PO4)2·4H2O CeO2. Among them, matrix presents dispersed granule, clustered petal-shaped under action ZnO. Under optimum concentration, after nano-CeO2, dense grains appear, cracks pores in riverbed are obviously reduced. Compared with single-layer coating, performance significantly improved. results obvious double-layer structure observed SEM, thickness about 48 μm. LCSM shows surface roughness moderate. EIS when fitting impedance 8050.43 Ω PH = 3, dropping time copper sulfate 58.6 s, which better than coating. Tafel polarization curve current density lower single decreased from 1.86 × 10−6 A/cm2 9.538 10−7 A/cm2,

Powdered photocatalysts have been extensively investigated for the decontamination of various pollutants. In spite superior photocatalytic performance mediated by powdered materials, major strides in production photoactive coatings are a crucial issue since they open up world industrial opportunities photocatalysis. Plasma electrolytic oxidation is promising technique, which capable fabricating ceramic with controllable porous structure at low cost, simple and easy operation, high metallurgical bonding strength to substrate, possibility coating formation on complex geometry or large size substrates. This review aimed summarizing fundamental aspects PEO process together effects activity multiple parameters such as electrolyte additive, deposition time, well electrical based chemical composition substrate. Ta2O5 coatings were created using micro-arc discharges (MDs) during anodization on a tantalum substrate in sodium phosphate electrolyte (10 g/L Na3PO4·10H2O). The elements and their ionization states present identified optical emission spectroscopy. hydrogen Balmer line Hβ shape analysis revealed presence two types MDs, with estimated electron densities around 1.1 × 1021 m−3 7.3 m−3. effect duration surface morphology, phase chemical composition, absorption, photoluminescent, properties coatings, as well applications photocatalytic degradation methyl orange, investigated. crystalline primarily composed orthorhombic phase. Since feature strong absorption ultraviolet light region below 320 nm, activity is very high time process. This was associated an increase oxygen vacancy defects formed which confirmed by photoluminescent measurements. after 8 h irradiation 69%, 74%, 80%, 88% for 3 min, 5 10 15 respectively.

MgAl oxide coatings composed of MgO and MgAl2O4 phases were doped with CeO2 particles via plasma electrolytic oxidation (PEO) AZ31 magnesium alloy in a 5 g/L NaAlO2 water solution. Subsequently, up to 8 added. Extensive investigations conducted examine the morphology, chemical phase compositions, and, most importantly, photoluminescent (PL) properties photocatalytic activity (PA) during photodegradation methyl orange. PL emission spectrum is divided two bands: one 350–600 nm range related structural defects MgO, another much more intense band 600–775 attributed F+ centres MgAl2O4. have significant effect intensity red spectral region, but first increases particles. PA MgAl/CeO2 higher than that pure coating developed electrolyte 2 exhibited highest PA. remained chemically physically stable across multiple cycles, indicating their potential for applications.

Advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) hold great promise to degrade and detoxify industrial-based effluents. The Reactive Red 45 dye aqueous solutions were treated with AOP using UV gamma radiation alone then in the presence of H2O2. initial concentration, exposure time, gamma-ray absorbed dose optimized for maximum degradation. degradation was 88.85% 77.7% UV/H2O2 (1 mL/L) at a time 180 min 50 mg/L 100 mg/L, respectively. noted as 100% 93.82% subjected gamma/H2O2 2 kGy. chemical oxygen demand reduced 77% 85% by treating samples gamma/H2O2, removal efficiency (G-value), constant (k), D0.50, D0.90, D0.99 gamma-irradiated also calculated. reduction toxicity monitored Allium cepa, Hemolytic, brine shrimp (Artemia salina) tests while Ames test performed mutagenic assessment. A. cepa showed 39.13%, 36.36%, 47.82% increases root length (RL), count (RC), mitotic index (MI), respectively, UV/H2O2-treated 48.78%, 48.14%, 57.14% shown conjunction hemolytic 21.25% 23.21% hemolysis after treatments, 84.09% 90.90% decreases nauplii death mutagenicity up 84.41% 77.87%, it 87.83% 80.88% TA98 TA100 bacterial strains, advanced based on H2O2 can be applied detoxification textile waste effluents efficiently.
