FeNbO4 monoclinic nanocomposite semiconductors were synthesised using hydrothermal and sol gel methods; photocatalysts then calcined at 600 °C. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), transmission (TEM), UV–Vis spectroscopy (UV/Vis) X-ray diffraction (XRD) technologies used to investigate crystallinity, morphology optical properties of the photocatalysts. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) was determine functional groups both treated untreated FeNbO4. It found that S. molle extract-treated prepared method (FeNbO4-HT + molle) has smallest nanoparticles (22.8 nm) with band gap energy (2.78 eV). photoelectron verified presence elements as well their oxidation states. The photodegradation reactions 10-ppm methyl orange dye solutions FeNbO4-sol gel, FeNbO4-HT carried out under visible light (>420 for 50 min. resulted in degradation percent 74 %, 78 % 96 by respectively. photocatalytic activity extract demonstrated superior absorption photostability, which is attributed consistency photocatalysts' morphology, gap, particle size distribution, porosity. remained stable effective five cycles.
