Nonalcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD) is a prevalent and complex condition influenced by both genetic environmental factors. This chapter explores the genotype-by-environment interactions that contribute to development progression of NAFLD in Mexican American population. Using advanced epidemiology bioinformatics approaches, we investigated how specific variants interact with factors such as depression, acculturation stress, social determinants health, influence risk severity. Our findings reveal significant for key NAFLD-related traits, including HbA1c, AST/ALT ratio, steatosis-controlled attenuation parameter (CAP). We also discuss application cutting-edge proteomic transcriptomic techniques identifying novel biomarkers potential therapeutic targets NAFLD. comprehensive analysis provides insights into molecular mechanisms Americans support developing targeted prevention strategies personalized healthcare.
