Despite advances in vaccination and early detection, the total number of cases deaths from cervical cancer has risen steadily recent decades, making it fourth most common type women worldwide. Low-income countries particular struggle with limited resources treatment limitations for cancer. Thus, effective medicines that are simple to manufacture needed. The newly developed dual topoisomerase inhibitor P8-D6, its outstanding ability induce apoptosis, could be a promising option. In this study, efficacy P8-D6 combination radiochemotherapy against carcinoma was investigated established cell lines translational approach ex vivo patient cells by measuring cytotoxicity, viability caspase activity vitro 2D 3D cultures. Treatment resulted significantly greater cytotoxicity apoptosis induction compared standard therapeutic cisplatin both Specifically, considerably stronger anti-proliferative effect observed. also led morphological changes loss membrane integrity spheroids. Radiotherapy benefited greatly treatment. fact, more potent radiosensitizer than cisplatin. Simple synthesis, favorable physicochemical properties high potency make drug candidate.
