The accurate measurement of moisture content in pure gases and gas mixtures, such as air, has great relevance many industrial processes. In the present study, graphene oxide reduced through a mild alkaline treatment was used humidity sensing material to fabricate flexible chemiresistive device operating at room temperature. active layer deposited by solution casting on substrate bimatted polyester, previously coated with inkjet-printed interdigitated electrodes made silver. Structural investigations were performed means X-ray diffraction, Raman spectroscopy, FTIR while optical properties investigated using UV-VIS absorption photoluminescence excitation spectroscopy. With increasing relative hu-midity from 0 80%, electrical resistance decreased about 1.4 GΩ 2.5 MΩ. ex-traordinarily large range values highlights ultrahigh sensitivity re-duced oxide, which acquires fair amount conductivity after physisorption water molecules but results highly resistive dry air. high temperature, response’s repeatability, wide detected, fast response time are main advantages proposed sensor, presence some hysteresis, mainly low humidity, recovery need further improve-ment. Finally, mechanisms briefly discussed.
