This prospective study aims to investigate the comparative effects of clear aligners (CA) and traditional removable appliances (RA) on cariogenic risk patients in mixed dentition, focusing oral microbiome. 25 children were included assigned into CA RA groups. Supragingival plaque saliva samples collected, clinical parameters including Decay-missing-filled teeth index (DMFT), Plaque Index (PI) Gorelick (GI) recorded before treatment (T0) after 6-month follow-up (T1). DNA was extracted from supragingival analyzed via 16S rDNA gene sequencing. Clinical showed no statistically significant difference between groups at each time point or within group over (p > 0.05). In both groups, exhibited significantly higher alpha diversity compared T1, as indicated by Chao1 Shannon indexes < Regarding beta diversity, observed T0 T1 0.05, Adonis), whereas such significance noted Adonis). At genus level, Lactobacillus a increase 0.05), an increasing trend without statistical levels comparable species-level analysis revealed distinct species. Both resulted elevated dentition microbial level. Distinct alterations species be induced various orthodontic appliances.

This study aimed to evaluate the micro-nanostructure and color changes of dental enamel after treatment with new gel formulations containing papain or bromelain. Eighty caries-free, extracted human teeth were randomly divided into two groups (n = 40) stained by immersion in either coffee Tedi juice for 4 h daily over five consecutive days. After staining, samples washed stored artificial saliva at 37 °C. The then treated four different whitening gels (GC, G1, G2, Opalescence 15%) daily. Following each treatment, rinsed saliva. Color measured using a digital spectrophotometer assess CIEL*a*b* ΔE* Whiteness index (WI). was analyzed SEM AFM. Data statistically one-way ANOVA followed Tukey’s HSD test. results showed that bromelain more effective than commercial removing stains. AFM analysis indicated particularly stains, while better stains from natural juices. Healthy has Ra value approximately 10 nm, which increases about 40 nm staining. Papain restored roughness 8 it 11 delivering optimal results, ensures 15 stain removal. CIELAB reveals notable ΔE WI bleaching, revealing is removal In conclusion, should be assessed dentist determine most suitable achieving results.
