We developed a security guard robot that is specifically designed to manage queues of people and conducted field trial at an actual public event assess its effectiveness. However, the acceptance instructions or admonishments poses challenges in real-world applications. Our primary objective was achieve effective socially acceptable queue-management solution. To accomplish this, we took inspiration from human guards whose role has already been well received society. robot, design embodied image professional guard, focused on three key aspects: duties, behavior, appearance. ensure competence, interviewed deepen our understanding responsibilities associated with queue management. Based their insights, incorporated features ushering, admonishing, announcing, question answering into robot’s functionality. also prioritized modeling ushering behavior. During 10-day children’s amusement event, both visitors who interacted staff. The results revealed generally complied admonishments, indicating positive reception. Both staff expressed overall favorable impression services. These findings suggest proposed shows great promise as solution for crowd handling spaces.
