Background: The aim of this study was to determine the reasons for request antinuclear antibody (ANA) in ANA-positive patients and final diagnosis these whether they developed a rheumatologic disease. Method: In retrospective study, files 559 with positive ANA were reviewed. Demographic, laboratory clinical characteristics noted. At end follow-up, recorded. Results: included 346 patients. 233 female, 113 male. mean age at time positivity 9.4  4.7 years, follow-up period 19 5.7 months. most common symptom myalgia/arthralgia (21.7%). Other urticaria, abdominal pain, thrombocytopenia, proteinuria. Extractable nuclear antigens (ENA) panel results negative 170 (49.1%). ENA panel, dense fine speckled antigen 70 antibodies frequently 135 (39.2%). 234 had no One hundred one diagnosed non-rheumatologic diseases, 11 diseases. Eleven diseases girls. Rash predictive value disease 3.2% 1.7% systemic lupus erythematosus. Conclusions: Due low testing, risk autoimmune should be identified carefully evaluated before is requested.

Background Mitochondrial encephalomyopathy with lactic acidosis and stroke-like episodes (MELAS) is a group of maternally inherited disorders caused by mutations or deletions in mitochondrial genes encephalomyopathy, acidosis, as the main clinical manifestations. Case presentation We reported 20-year-old female patient MELAS syndrome combined autoimmune abnormalities. She suffered from an intermittent headache right temporal region no obvious cause, then, after strenuous exercise dance class, became aggravated, accompanied unresponsiveness, blurred vision, diplopia. Her blood lactate levels were elevated, her antinuclear antibodies positive, antimetabolic glutamate receptors 5 serum positive. Brain DWI showed hypertensive signal temporo-parietal-occipital cortex subcortical area. MRS decreased NAA peak increased Lac peak. Muscle biopsy myogenic damage, modified Gomori trichrome (MGT) staining ragged red fibers (RRF). A genetic study revealed DNA A3243G mutation. Conclusion rare condition; however, association diseases not yet clear still needs further research analysis.

One of the delayed consequences SARS-CoV-2 infection is post-acute COVID-19 – polymorphic disorders various organ systems that affect convalescents and persist for more than four weeks after an acute infection. Due to infectious nature COVID-19, we would like pay special attention complications from immune system, especially concomitant new-onset autoimmune pathology. This review analyzes current state issue complications, discusses molecular features virus mechanisms underlying impaired response during occurrence autoinflammatory conditions convalescence. Particular paid mimicry antigenic determinants virus, which are structurally similar epitopes human autoantigens. The data on humoral immunity endocrine as well reproductive faced by male patients presented. For first time, hypothesize a role structural homology SOX13 autoantigen (HMG box factor SOX13) associated with diabetes mellitus envelope (E) protein in development pathologies. similarity two proteins overlap their immunogenic regions, suggest increased risk developing men suffering may be immunological cross-reactivity.

Pembaharuan berlaku ke arah penyeragaman pelaporan IF. Ulasan merangkumi ANA, kegunaan positif perkembangan terkini
