Background Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is a major cancer challenge worldwide. Combination therapy using transcatheter arterial chemoembolization (TACE) and percutaneous ablation offers potential for improved outcomes. Objective To evaluate the efficacy liver function preservation in HCC patients treated with combined TACE ablation, identifying key prognostic factors. Methods This longitudinal study included 200 patients. Factors analyzed tumor characteristics, tests, serologic markers. Statistical analyses determined associations treatment outcomes survival. Results Smaller tumors (≤5.0 cm) lower AFP levels (<200 ng/mL) were associated higher efficacy, an objective response rate of 67.3% versus 42.3% levels. Liver was better preserved (78.2% vs. 57.7%). Tumor size stiffness significantly influenced survival Conclusion The combination enhances HCC, guided by specific supports need personalized approaches further research into therapies.
