in
the
historical
collections
of
University
Messina
dates
back
to
1880s.
These
comprise
a
thousand
specimens
minerals,
gemstones,
ores,
rocks,
and
macro-
microfossils.
Most
them
are
provided
scientific,
didactic,
cultural
values
consequently
have
be
preserved
enhanced
for
future
generations.
Their
restoration
cataloging
necessary
activities
make
this
geoscientific
naturalist
heritage
accessible
scientists,
students,
tourists,
citizens
worldwide.

geodiversity
assessment
is
one
of
the
basic
steps
in
development
geoprotection
activities.

Mts.)

southeast
Slovakia

an
area
4986
km2.

Officially,
there
is
no
exhaustive
inventory
of
Sites
Geological
Interest
(SGI)
in
Morocco.
Nonetheless,
the
Service
Morocco
started
identification
these
sites
a
few
years
ago,
and
published
9
volumes
on
subject
as
geological
mining
guides
This
was
only
limited
to
SGI
without
their
characterization
assessment,
or
threats
that
could
affect
them.
In
last
several
PhD
Thesis
research
papers
have
dealed
with
this
subject.
Unfortunately,
initiatives
are
sporadic
far
from
establishing
global
strategy
for
geoconservation
valorization
Moroccan
heritage.

studies
have

perspectives,
among

treatment

geological
features
in
relation
to
particular
areas
and
settlements
