Abstract Considering the demanding and challenging nature of teaching profession in general foreign/second language (L2) contexts particular, there is a need to examine protective psychological resources such as grit—conceptualized inclination show consistent interest perseverance times setbacks failures—among L2 teachers. Given recently emerging status research on grit multitude factors that might potentially affect teachers’ grit, this study examined roles growth mindset, positive negative emotions (enjoyment, anxiety, anger), self‐efficacy grit. The participants were 215 Iranian teachers who recruited via convenience sampling responded four questionnaires: Sudina et al.’s Teacher Grit Scale, Frenzel Emotions Nalipay Growth Teaching Mindset short version Tschannen‐Moran Hoy's Self‐Efficacy Scale. results indicated all three significantly contributed Moreover, based relative weight analysis (RWA), weights enjoyment, followed by higher predicting while anxiety anger had lowest weight. Implications for promoting self‐efficacy, mindset well suggestions future studies are presented.

Exploring the Application and Effects of Digital Storytelling Activities Utilizing Metaverse Avatar Customization in Essential Liberal Arts Courses for International Students : Focusing on Digital Competence, Creativity, and Self-Expression DOI

The purpose of this study is to examine the effects on digital competencies (digital literacy, self-efficacy, mindset), creativity, and self-expression after conducting storytelling activities utilizing metaverse avatar customization in a mandatory liberal arts course for international students. To conduct study, case from based artistic creation at C University was analyzed. achieve research objectives, paired sample t-test conducted using SPSS 25.0 verify pre-post differences, correlation analysis performed relationships between variables. results are as follows: First, differences revealed that all variables showed significantly higher values post-test. Second, positive (+) among efficacy, mindset, self-expression, while mindset did not show significant correlation. Third, learner perceptions most learners experienced an improvement their skills through course. They perceived it experience allowed them discover develop creative potential. Additionally, they responded process customizing characters stories avatars completing videos tools provided with sense accomplishment. Based hoped will serve valuable resource instructors metaverse, particularly targeting foreign learners.

The present study relies on the assumption that in today’s knowledge society and use of online knowledge, learning, communication mechanisms, pre-university university teachers, students all ages, those preparing for teaching careers or other careers, parents, managers, administrators have become increasingly interested acquiring proficiency, capitalization, stimulation digital creativity.
