This study presents an innovative approach to support educational administration, focusing on the optimization of university admission processes using feature selection algorithms. The research addresses challenges concept drift, outlier treatment, and weighting key factors in criteria. proposed methodology identifies optimal set features assigns weights criteria that demonstrate strongest correlation with academic performance, thereby contributing improved management by optimizing decision-making processes. incorporates change detection preprocessing stage while employing multivariate techniques processing stage. Applied process engineering students at a public Chilean university, considers socioeconomic, academic, demographic variables, curricular advancement as objective. generated subset attributes application score predictive capabilities 83% 84%, respectively. results show significantly greater association between performance when methodology’s are used, compared actual weights. highlights increased power accounting for outliers, shared information variables.
