In recent years, the adverse effect of climate change on soil properties in agricultural sector has become a dreadful reality worldwide. Climate change-induced abiotic stresses such as salinity, drought and temperature fluctuations are devastating crops’ physiological responses, productivity overall yield, which is ultimately posing serious threat to global food security agroecosystems. The applications chemical fertilizers pesticides contribute towards further deterioration rapid changes climate. Therefore, more careful, eco-friendly sustainable strategies required mitigate impact climate-induced damage sector. This paper reviews recently reported damaging impacts various crops, along with two emerging mitigation strategies, biochar biostimulants, light studies focusing combating worsening deteriorated environment yields, environment. Abstract Over the past 10–15 years, biochar has garnered significant global attention in agriculture and environmental science. While most research focused on benefits of application soil enhancement, water quality improvement, climate change mitigation, potential risks associated with its use have often been overlooked. This oversight is critical, as fate contingent upon understanding these risks. Once released into environment, can interact media, potentially releasing pollutants threatening ecosystems. Therefore, it essential to evaluate unintended health during production select appropriate types for sustainable development. review was conducted by systematically analyzing synthesizing relevant studies from Web Science, focusing recent advancements key debates field. It categorizes endogenous exogenous based source carried biochar. The analyzes detail impacts raw materials, preparation processes, scenarios Furthermore, provides a thorough overview adverse effects animals, plants, microorganisms, human health, elucidating mechanisms pollutant release, aging, nano-effects geochemical processes involving Additionally, this summarizes risk assessment methods biochar, providing reference safe development biochar-related research. The most important aspect of sorbent-based approaches is the use a sustainable, readily available, and cost-effective sorbent material for sample analysis. Biochar an emerging prominent various applications in techniques due to its availability, affordability, eco-friendly nature, porosity, pore structure, abundance aliphatic aromatic carbon structures, abundant oxygen-containing functional groups. On basis numerous benefits biochar, this review discusses why biochar preferred sorptive-based techniques. In addition, provides brief evaluation biochar-based sorptive approaches, including solid-phase extraction (SPE)/microextraction (SPME), magnetic SPE/SPME, in-tube SPME, pipette-tip micro SPE, thin-film microextraction. Furthermore, each section briefly overviews studies analyses applications, pharmaceuticals, environmental, food. Most importantly, on literature review, that require further investigation applications.

Abstract In light of the current water scarcity, one strategy for reducing consumption in irrigated agriculture is to reduce amount irrigation compared full crop or other words deficit irrigation. Deficit management may be a critical issue due climate change. Incorporation different soil conditioners can improve hydro-physical properties and mitigate negative effects water-stressed conditions. Recent review articles either addressed specific behavior under covered single type conditioners. This manuscript represents an inclusive providing insight into methods incorporated with Crop response discussed some mathematical models. Three main types are covered: bentonite, biochar, super-absorbent polymers. Mechanisms associated each conditioner enhance retention highlighted as well. Previous study findings were comparatively future prospective, recommendations challenges addressed.

Abstract Background Previous studies have suggested that the targeted application of biochars in agricultural soils may benefit soil health and crop production. Physico-chemical properties after biochar addition been explored, but less is known about how microbial parameters respond. Therefore, impact (NB), mineral fertilizer-activated (AB), or fertilizer (MF) on selected chemical lettuce-planted was evaluated a pot experiment. Results In comparison to control, enzymes activities, related carbon (C), nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P) cycling, their content plant biomass, were significantly increased by with without (MF, NB + MF). Conversely, respiration (basal substrate induced) highly responsive activated amendment (AB) as compared other treatments. N, P, potassium (K) concentrations pore water stabilized biochar, indicating reduced leaching likelihood longevity these nutrients soils. Enhanced acquisition mitigated most experimental treatments coupled higher (lettuce) biomass. Conclusions Our study demonstrates both has potential enhance activity fertility tested soil, fertilizer-borne be activation process. Graphical
