Syzgium cumini (L.) Skeels powder (S. powder), also known as Jamun, is well-known for its various medical and health benefits. It especially recognized antidiabetic antioxidant properties. Thus, S. used in industries, such the food cosmetic industries. In this work, fruit of was utilized; seeds were extracted, dried, ground into powder. The powders subjected to techniques physicochemical tests, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, X-ray diffractometry (XRD), particle size analysis, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive spectroscopy (EDX), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), differential calorimetry (DSC), analysis. From it revealed that jamun seed filler contained cellulose (43.28%), hemicellulose (19.88%), lignin (23.28%), pectin (12.58%), wax (0.98%). FTIR supported these results. For instance, a peak at 2889 cm−1 observed associated with CH stretching, typically found methyl methylene groups, characteristic structures. XRD results demonstrated crystallinity index 42.63%. indicated mean (average) 25.34 μm. This observation ensured SEM EDX spectrum showed elemental composition fillers. Regarding thermal degradation, had ability withstand temperatures up 316.5 °C. Furthermore, endothermic exothermic peaks 305 °C 400 °C, respectively. property displayed scavenging activity 91.4%. comprehensive study not only underscores viability sustainable effective particulate polymer composites but demonstrates potential enhance mechanical properties composites, thereby offering significant implications development eco-friendly materials industrial applications.

This study explores the development of a multifunctional composite material by incorporating carbon black (CB) into an epoxy matrix reinforced with 30 vol.% jute fabric. The objective was to evaluate impact CB on composite’s tensile properties, ballistic performance, and electromagnetic shielding effectiveness (SE) within X-band frequency range (8.2–12.4 GHz). 5 (EJ30/CB5) exhibited 15% improvements in its strength elastic modulus compared (EJ30) only. Ballistics tests indicated no significant increases absorbed energy or limit velocity, which may be attributed structural rigidity introduced CB. An analysis revealed that addition significantly enhanced SE from ~2 dB neat 5–8 EJ30/CB5, absorption emerging as primary mechanism. findings highlight potential CB- jute-reinforced composites for applications requiring both mechanical robustness interference shielding.

The mechanical and ballistic performance of epoxy matrix composites reinforced with 10, 20, 30 vol.% babassu fibers was investigated for the first time. tests included tension, impact, testing 0.22 caliber ammunition. results showed an improvement in tensile strength, elastic modulus, elongation addition fiber, composite stood out. Scanning electron microscopy analysis revealed fracture modes composites, highlighting brittle fractures matrix, as well other mechanisms such fiber breakage delamination composites. Izod impact also increasing content. In tests, there increase absorbed energy. All surpassed plain by over 3.5 times energy absorption, underscoring potential engineering defense applications.

Carbon fiber has excellent mechanical properties and plays an important role in modern industry. However, due to the complexity of carbon widening process, industrial application is limited. By designing equipment automaton, relationship between width process parameters studied, optimum developing are obtained, improve performance composites a certain extent. In this study, was studied based on broadening method. Firstly, automatic designed, effects initial tension, number straight rods, convex drawing speed widened during were discussed. The effect evaluated by SEM imaging testing. At same time, factors affecting defects analyzed, optimal obtained. results showed that within specific range, higher greater appropriate resulted relatively smaller damage fibers. Through design broadening, experiment explores parameters, provides reference for improvement further promotes large-scale applications fiber.

This article presents an analysis on the characterization of natural fibers from stem Tinospora cordifolia plant/vine. Several characterizations/measurements were carried out water retted to ascertain their properties. These included diameter and density measurements, X-ray Diffraction (XRD) analysis, chemical composition by gravimetric method, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, single fiber tensile tests, Thermogravimetric (TGA). The had average 202 µm 0.6 g/cm3. SEM images revealed a rough surface which highlights potential for good adhesion with polymer matrix. Crystalline Index (C.I) Crystallite Size (C.S) obtained XRD spectra 60.19% 2.56 nm, respectively. Amount cellulose, hemicellulose, lignin, extractives in 65%, 12%, 17%, 6%, FTIR presence major constituents such as lignin. strength, Young's modulus, percentage elongation at break 484 ± 100 MPa, 22 4 GPa, 3.8 1%. onset thermal degradation (Tonset) maximum (Tmax) temperatures 259°C 368°C, Mechanical properties satisfactory when compared popular fibers.
