Abstract The purposes of this study were to evaluate the bulk sample concentration and airborne concentrations phthalate in different types propellent triggers consumer spray products estimate health risk assessment via inhalation. First, analyzed solutions all 174 from markets. Then, among 64 containing phthalates, 10 propellant-type selected that contained high concentrations; measured at distances 1, 3, 5 m nozzle a clean room. Four phthalates detected products: diisobutyl (DiBP), di-n-butyl (DnBP), butyl benzyl (BBzP), bis(2-ethylhexyl) (DEHP). Among products, repellents highest mean (3.90 ppm), whereas sterilized lowest (0.59 ppm). trigger-type cleaning (4.54 coating (0.73 In both propellant- DnBP DEHP exceeded standard set by Ministry Food Drug Safety South Korea. No significant patterns observed for DiBP, DnBP, (p > 0.05). Children one population groups most susceptible risks. Overall, product air products; some even safe limits. Therefore, should be used well-ventilated areas avoid respiratory exposure.

Background: Phenylketonuria (PKU) is the most common amino acid metabolism disorder. Patients with blood phenylalanine (Phe) levels of ≥6 mg/dL require treatment, and definitive treatment Phe-restricted diet. Bisphenols phthalates are widely used endocrine-disrupting chemicals (EDCs) found in personal care products, baby bottles, food packaging. Methods: In this study, we evaluated possible routes exposure to these EDCs patients diagnosed PKU (n = 105, 2–6 years age) determined relationship between plasma bisphenol A (BPA), F (BPF), di-butyl phthalate (DBP), di-(2-ethylhexyl) (DEHP), mono-(2ethylhexyl) (MEHP), dietary regimens. Participant characteristics were according their status. Results: Thirty-four on a diet, while remaining 71 had no restrictions. DBP DEHP higher those using plastic tablecloths (p 0.049 p 0.04, respectively). addition, who bottled water 0.01). Conclusion: Our results indicate that bisphenols varies treatment. The difference sources diet non-diet groups indicates plays an important role EDC exposure.

Plastic additives include a wide range of pollutants, added throughout the production process plastics aiming to improve their properties. Given that they are not chemically bound plastic items, can easily migrate in marine environment allowing uptake by organisms and accumulation tissues. Representatives Phthalic acid esters (PAEs) bisphenols have been characterized for ability impact only but also humans via fish seafood consumption. In this study, liquid-liquid method was applied determine concentrations selected PAEs Bisphenol A (BPA) tissues E.encrasicolus , S.pilchardus B.boops M.barbatus from two important divisions fisheries (North Aegean Western Ionian Seas, thereof NAS IOS respectively) Mediterranean Sea. The level contamination varied among different species geographical locations. DEHP (bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate) had highest mean examined all four examined. Statistically significant differences were observed between (collected NAS) (from IOS) (p < 0.05, Wilcoxon rank test). Perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) in environmental matrices is increasingly being studied due to its persistence, global occurrence, bioaccumulation, and associated human health risks. Some indoor environments can significantly impact the of occupants pollutants air household dust. To investigate potential exposure individuals PFOA specific confined environments, this study reports an analytical method results concerning determination dust, used as a passive sampler. best our knowledge, paper represents one first studies concentrations dust collected south Italy, within European region. A total twenty-three samples were from two different areas Sicily (Palermo Milena), extracted, analyzed by UHPLC-QTOF-MS/MS system. Finally, was estimated using new index (Indoor Exposure Index, IPEX) that incorporates levels time, correlation between blood. It then compared across four groups, revealing for people working chemistry laboratories evaluated be ten times higher than homemakers.

Dibutyl phthalate (DBP) is widely used as a plasticizer in the production of polymeric materials to give them flexibility, strength and extensibility. However, due its negative impact on human health, particular reproductive functions fetal development, content DBP must be controlled food environment. The present study aims develop sensitive, fast simple fluorescence polarization immunoassay (FPIA) using monoclonal antibodies derived against (MAb-DBP) for detection open waters. New conjugates with various fluorescein derivatives were obtained characterized: 5-aminomethylfluorescein (AMF) dichlorotriazinylaminofluorescein (DTAF). advantages DBP-AMF conjugate FPIA method are shown, kinetics binding this chemical studied, analysis optimized, concentration selected sensitivity analysis—16 nM. calibration dependence signal was obtained. observed IC50 (DBP at which 50% decrease occurs, 40 ng/mL) limit (LOD, 7.5 values improved by factor 45 over previously described polyclonal antibodies. This technique tested recovery method, high percentage discovery water ranged from 85 110%. Using developed real samples Lake Onega tested, good correlation shown between results determination GC-MS. Thus, work can determine open-water reservoirs.
