Principal sensory experiences of forest visitors in four countries, for evidence‐based nature therapy

Abstract
To
advance
the
theoretical
and
practical
underpinnings
for
nature
therapies,
i.e.
exposure
as
a
means
to
improve
mental
health,
we
compared
most
memorable
sensory
experiences
reported
by
forest
tourists
in
Australia,
Chile,
China
Japan.
Sensory
are
fundamental
driver
of
psychological
effects
exposure.
We
first
reviewed
relevant
research
from
each
country
language.
then
conducted
100
on‐site
interviews
>500
China,
compiled
1000
social
media
posts
analysed
these
datasets
using
directed‐content
qualitative
thematic
analyses,
both
original
languages
translated
texts,
outcomes
country.
The
key
universal:
sights
plant
shapes
colours;
sounds
birdsong,
running
water
rustling
leaves;
smells
flowers,
trees,
earth;
taste
temperature
clean
air
water;
touch
bark
rocks.
Participants
gave
detailed
descriptions
each.
These
fine‐grained

widespread

finding.

Impact of Pulse Electric Field Stimulation on Negative Air Ion Release Capacity of Snake Plants

investigate

stimulation

and
negative
air
