The increase in the concentration of potentially toxic elements farmland soil attracts more and attention. To identify sources agricultural soils, 148 samples Yingtan were selected as a case study, levels analyzed, principal component analysis (PCA) positive matrix factorization (PMF) employed. results indicate that average Zn (89.62 mg·kg−1 d.w.), Cu (76.30 Pb (35.56 Mo (0.66 Cd (0.59 d.w.) exceed corresponding background values Jiangxi Province. Moreover, high spatial coefficient variation (above 1.00) for these suggests significant influence from long-term external inputs. Among all above, concentrations relatively pollution ranked by Igeo. Further apportioned PCA PMF implies input into may be attributed to mining activity, natural sources, smelting, activity. This study PCA-PMF combined with field survey helpful tools discerning pollutants’ it addresses view increasing is concerning, associated historical use mixed fertilizers lack supervision.
