The
limited
degradation
of
synthetic
polymers
used
in
food
packaging
when
discarded
the
environment
is
a
major
concern
for
society.
Therefore,
industry
and
academia
have
sought
to
develop
biodegradable
eco-friendly
materials

packaging.
An
interesting
alternative
polymeric
films,

why

biopolymers

sustainable

innovations

issues

environment.
Among
available
raw
materials,
starch
extracted
from
renewable
sources
very
promising
this
purpose,
due
its
abundance,
low-cost
compared
other

films.
However,

limitations,

be
overcome
by
developing
mixture
with
(polymer
blends),
preferably
sources,
such
as
poly(lactic
acid)
(PLA).
In

According
results,

Environmental
pollution
from
plastics
has
become
one
of
the
biggest
concerns
globally.
Microplastics
(MPs)
are
plastic
materials
less
than
5
mm
in
size.
They
remain
environment
for
hundreds
to
thousands
years
without
degrading,
only
breaking
down
further
nanoplastics
(NPs).
Micro-
