Tree-lined spaces as informal communication areas and important pathways for pedestrians are the second largest zones on university campuses, they have a large impact microclimate. At present, effects of spatial form tree-lined boulevards microclimates not been investigated. Thus, this study applied experimental simulation methods to investigate in hot summer cold winter regions. The main meteorological parameters including air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, solar radiation boulevard were obtained by experiments. Furthermore, data boundary condition input into ENVI-met software aspect ratio canopy diameter double-row open-canopy microclimate regulation. results showed that when was reduced from 1.5 0.9, temperature UTCI increased 0.047 °C 0.21 °C, while humidity decreased 0.227%. Decreasing can effectively improve microenvironment. As 7 m 11 m, space 0.064 0.45 0.245%. An increase is unfavorable improvement microclimates. This aims provide scientific basis design campuses.

Urbanization and the reduction of green spaces have significantly contributed to problems such as rising temperatures declining air quality in urban areas. This study examines impact different types areas—broadleaved trees, coniferous shrubs, vines—on temperature regulation at Recep Tayyip Erdoğan University Zihni Derin Campus. Surface temperature, humidity, ambient wind speed measurements were collected using an infrared thermometer over a one-year period under various climatic conditions (August, October, January, April) times day (09:00 AM, 01:00 PM, 05:00 PM). To quantitatively assess cooling effect each type area, Response Methodology (RSM) was applied, predictive formula developed estimate areas environmental conditions. These formulated models enable estimation provided by these four plant based on input parameters, achieving accuracy approximately 92% or higher without requiring direct measurements. The findings this provide robust methodological framework practical tool for optimizing space designs, mitigating heat island effects, enhancing living comfort

Urbanization has significantly impacted the environment and urban life, with green spaces playing a crucial role in enhancing sustainability public health. Urban Green Spaces (UGS) offer benefits such as temperature regulation, ecological services, improved thermal comfort, while providing entertainment, culture, disaster avoidance, services. This study evaluates cooling effects of UGS mitigating Heat Islands (UHIs) phenomenon Delhi, India, using satellite imagery to assess Land Surface Temperature (LST) 24 parks. We calculated Park Cooling Intensity (PCI) by applying mono-window algorithm. found that parks larger than 1.55 hectares dense vegetation water bodies reduced surrounding temperatures up 8.28 °C. The PCI effect was influenced park size, density, presence bodies, denser demonstrating enhanced capacity. These findings highlight importance integrating into planning vital infrastructure for resilience, reducing heat-related health risks, ensuring equitable access benefits. also highlights addressing socio-economic disparities accessibility, which have significant implications development. emphasized formulating strategic approach focuses on spaces' growth, conservation, allocation, thereby fostering eco-friendly, habitable, robust environments.

This study investigates the formation of cold air pools during calm, anticyclonic winter nights in a topographic basin bounded by medium-sized mountain to east and near-flat terrain elsewhere. The main objective is understand how local topography drives unique topoclimatic conditions—specifically lakes an inversion layer at approximately 100/120 m altitude—in peri-urban depression where major cement factory several residential areas are located. To achieve this, research design combined surface measurements (collected 10:00 p.m., 3:00 a.m., 7:00 p.m.) using motorized vehicle, with vertical (at a.m.) collected via two unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), three equipped Tinytag data loggers. Empirical Bayesian Kriging tool ArcGIS Pro was employed generate temperature cartograms. results show that shortly after sunset, 100–120 thickness forms, nocturnal variations up 8 °C on night measurements. An detected around 120–130 m, while near-zero wind speeds basin’s core facilitate retention air. Surface spatialization confirms earlier findings lake thermal belts perimeter, forming early evening dissipating late morning. A 3D visualization underscores influence directing downslope, leading stabilization stratification within lower atmospheric layers. These carry significant health implications: pollutants released plant tend accumulate pool beneath layer, posing potential risks nearby populations.
