Alpine ecosystems, as one of the most representative terrestrial have garnered significant attention due to their susceptibility human activities and climate change. However, distribution patterns driving factors alpine soil bacterial communities remain be further explored, especially for different dominant phyla. This study investigated community composition, elevational patterns, relationships between diversity environmental at four elevation gradients (2406–3204 m) on Mt. Taibai, Qinling Mountains, China, using 16S rRNA sequencing. The results showed that phyla were Acidobacteria, Actinobacteria, Proteobacteria, Chloroflexi, accounting over 69% sequences in samples. Dominant exhibit distinct gradient structure. α-diversity Actinobacteria Chloroflexi decreases with increasing elevation, whereas Proteobacteria Acidobacteria increases. Moreover, structure shows greater variation across elevations than other three groups, differences observed among elevations. Redundancy analysis distance decay revealed was significantly correlated (p < 0.01). Different regulated by factors, providing strong evidence understanding microbial assembly. Therefore, α- β-diversity bacteria Taibai variations, elevation-driven plant pH may key shaping spatial bacteria.
