Insufficient access to high-quality feed in sufficient amounts is hindering the sustainable growth of Indian cattle sector. The supply negatively impacted by increased cropping intensity, limited grazing land, and effects climate change. Therefore, developing cost-effective methods improve availability year-round crucial. Improved planted forages, such as Napier grass, are recommended address shortages semi-arid agroecological regions India. study, using PSM approach, investigates socioeconomic factors that impact adoption, its influence on enhanced milk output, time saved livestock farming, farmers’ well-being, health. This study employed a multistage sampling method choose 309 participants for questionnaire survey. Our analysis shows adoption resulted 24.6% rise daily output/cow 61.2% overall improvement total production/year/cow when compared with baseline data. Napier’s decreased farming times 30 min/cow. Additionally, women’s involvement improved farmers who have switched seen remarkable increase their net income, monthly boost Rs. 2044–2555 per cow. consumption has also skyrocketed, enhancement 143–153 mL person daily. highlights farmer’s age, education level, unit, land holding play crucial role. extension services farmer group participation can further process. Furthermore, our explores how these shape decision-making process drive successful integration grass into practices. However, considering spatial limitations reliance self-reported data this we suggest future research examining long-term climate-smart agricultural practices, soil moisture, benefits, involving field experiments, modeling, participation.

Enteric greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions represent a major challenge in livestock production, contributing significantly to global methane output. Various strategies have been explored mitigate these emissions, including dietary modifications, feed additives, and genetic improvements. In the present study, focus was on onion peel (OP), byproduct of processing industry that has shown promise as natural supplement with potential methane-reducing properties. We evaluated effect different inclusion levels OP at 2.5% (OP2.5), 5% (OP5), 7.5% (OP7.5), 10% (OP10) vitro fermentation two diets: total mixed ration referred high concentrate (HC), corn silage forage (HF). Despite being abundantly available and nutritious, corn stover Ceara rubber tree leaves are rarely used as livestock feed. However, these agriculture byproducts contain hard to digest nutrients be feed for livestock. This study evaluates the fermentation characteristics (pH levels, ammoniacal nitrogen (N-NH3), total volatile fatty acid (VFA) production nutrient digestibility (dry matter digestibility_DMD, organic digestibility_OMD) of a silage-based diet composed mixture in Etawa crossbred goats vitro. The hay, based on leaves, is supplemented with concentrate comprising bran, pollard, coconut meal, tapioca waste, molasses, urea. research design employs Randomized Complete Block Design four treatments replications. follows: T1 (60% forage silage 60% stover, 30% 10% ground + 40% concentrate), T2 65% 27.5% 7.5% T3 70% 25% 5% T4 75% 22.5% 2.5% concentrate). Data analysis involves variance analysis, differences between tested using Duncan's Multiple Range Test. results indicate that different combinations significantly impacted N-NH3 level but did not affect pH, VFA total, DMD OMD. concludes combining both fermented ingredients creates normal vitro ecosystem capable supporting growth activity microorganisms breaking down high efficiency. ABSTRACT The increasing demand for sustainable agricultural practices prompts a reevaluation of feeding strategies in ruminant nutrition. Agricultural waste, often viewed as by‐product (BP), presents promising opportunity to enhance the sustainability livestock production systems. This review explores potential incorporating various BPs into diets. Utilizing these reduces environmental impact farming and contributes circular economy by recycling nutrients back food system. nutritional composition wastes varies widely, their inclusion diets improves feed efficiency, animal performance overall health. Research indicates that specific treatments, such fermentation ensiling, digestibility nutrient availability materials. Moreover, waste nutrition leads financial benefits farmers reducing reliance on conventional sources. However, key challenges remain, particularly need further research optimize rates address anti‐nutritional factors found some wastes. Notably, adding materials results 10%–30% reductions costs improvements 5%–20% metrics, weight gain milk production. These findings highlight economic utilizing practices. emphasizes necessity developing innovative leverage calling interdisciplinary approaches combine nutrition, agronomy science. By adopting practices, sector security while minimizing its ecological footprint. Future focuses processing techniques, effective management factors, assessing long‐term impacts health productivity. Additionally, examining aspects commonly used BPs, pomegranate, grape, pistachio, saffron, raisin, olive tomato, is essential fully understanding guiding development targeted strategies.

Introduction The aim of this study was to evaluate the transformative potential precision livestock farming (PLF) in dairy production, nutrition, and reproductive efficiency by implementing proactive management strategies that utilize real-time data. Methods Data were gathered from a commercial farm, employing 3D accelerometer system attached ear-tags monitor activity rumination behavior. Additionally, information on animal-related events such as oestrus, artificial insemination, clinical diseases, treatments recorded. Results It observed there differences between positive negative cows days following insemination (AI). Specifically, day 0 16, exhibited higher time compared cows, with contrast being particularly significant 9 10. Over duration study, tested produced, average, 0.78 kg more milk per day. Discussion This suggests animals production less likely be pregnant, potentially due increased nutrient allocation mammary gland, resulting pronounced energy balance consequently lower conception rates. Furthermore, utilized capable distinguishing daily lying pregnant non-pregnant oestrus return. finding highlights for developing alert identify “probable pregnant” non-pregnant” animals.

This study evaluates the impact of dietary supplementation with hemp-based polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) on membrane lipid profiles and reproductive performance Martina Franca jacks. Over a 90-day period, twelve donkeys were divided into treatment group receiving hemp oil control standard diet. Semen blood samples collected analyzed at multiple time points for composition parameters. Results revealed that sperm motility improved significantly, increasing from 92.61% in to 96.63% by Day 60 ( p = 0.05). Normal morphology also showed significant enhancement, rising 96.58% 98.85% 0.04). Conversely, gel-free semen volume decreased significantly group, 64.17 mL 28.20 < 0.0001). Lipidomic analyses indicated an increased proportion omega-3 PUFAs, such as eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA; 0.08% 0.20% 60, 0.0001), membranes, alongside reduction peroxidation index (264.11 86.53 These changes suggest fluidity oxidative stability. findings underscore potential supplement enhance outcomes donkeys, broader implications livestock management.
