The objective of this investigation was to characterize the antimicrobial activity natural preservative, intended for cosmetic purpose, Kopraphinol (INCI name: Lactobacillus/Radish Root Ferment Extract Filtrate). It tested against a panel selected bacteria and mycetes by using conventional microbiological techniques (determination MIC, time killing assay), chal-lenge test used verify its potential preservative in an O/W cream. has shown interesting effectiveness comparable methylparaben. Moreover, it fulfilled challenge criterion A proven effective microbial contamination. results obtained show that can be considered promising candidate anti-microbial preservation cosmetics could successfully complement or even replace conven-tional preservatives.

In recent years, the sustainability of cosmetic products has received growing interest from industry and consumers due to recommendation implementation circular economy European Green Deal. The sustainable development strategy takes into account reduction waste energy consumption, covers all processes producing using cosmetics, starting method obtaining raw materials, through process cosmetics bulk, selection packaging. Particularly, materials a large impact on emulsion. One way resource recovery is use agro-food by-products discarded produce because most them possess value-added bioactive compounds, such as enzymes nutrients with high functionality. Their may be performed by more extraction processes, leading natural oils, extracts, polymers, phytosterols, vitamins, minerals, unsaturated fatty acids. A relatively new innovative form designing bioavailable fermentation, where bioferments are obtained plant-based food materials. addition, optimization emulsification applying low-energy methods crucial step in cosmetics. This allows not only carbon footprint, but also preservation valuable properties used following paper discusses creating emulsions energy-saving procedures fermentation process.

Since ancient times, the placenta has been used to produce cosmetic and health food products, whereas fermentation is a technology that foods cosmetics. For application in cosmetics, traditional placental extracts produced solely by proteolysis have not had enough moisturizing properties or ability stimulate proliferation of epidermal keratinocytes. We combined these two approaches raw materials without such drawbacks are suitable for applications. Using unique lactic acid bacterial strain, Enterococcus faecalis PR31, directly ferment digest both porcine equine placentas, we following liquid products: filtrates. The filtrates stimulated only normal human dermal fibroblasts but also ferments higher equilibrium water content than extracts, derived from maintained high stratum corneum levels up 6 h after its on skin. Metabolome analysis revealed various molecules were increased fermentation, among which was assumed play central role properties. To conclude, developed this study beneficial

ABSTRACT Ceramides in the stratum corneum (SC) are important for epidermal barrier function. We previously developed a synthetic pseudo‐ceramide medical (SPCM)‐containing steroid cream [SPCM (+)]. This forms films on skin surface and exerts anti‐inflammatory effects through steroids. However, preventive of this disruption remained unclear. Therefore, study, we aimed to evaluate protective role SPCM (+) against atopic dermatitis (AD)‐associated protease allergens recovery from barrier‐broken skin. used three‐dimensional (3D) mouse models disrupted barriers effect V8 produced by Staphylococcus aureus . In NC/Nga mice with itching caused living mites, was repeatedly applied once day 2 weeks, scratching behaviour assessed every week using MicroAct system. 3D model, directly blocked SC degradation S. suppressed expression interleukin‐36 gamma. The application mite‐parasitised scratching, reduced elevated activity proteases, inhibited upregulation thymic stromal lymphopoietin. These beneficial were not observed creams without SPCM. results suggest that is effective relieving inflammation protecting proteases its lamellar structure. may be promising treatment option disorders including AD xerosis.

The historical use of oils for beauty and hygiene dates back to ancient civilizations. While mineral oil its derivatives dominated the personal care industry in 20th century due chemical stability low cost, environmental impact sustainability concerns have driven a resurgence vegetable oils. Cottonseed derived from Gossypium hirsutum L. ( Malvaceae) has been often overlooked favor other plant oils, likely cotton’s primary as fiber crop. Yet cottonseed stands out cosmetics beneficial linoleic oleic acid ratio, which supports skin barrier function, rich profile phytosterols tocopherols that provide higher oxidative extended shelf life. is also adaptable variety formulations, offering lightweight, non-greasy emollient base with potential applications care, hair, cleansing products. This review highlights potentially underutilized ingredient sector emphasizes need further research development fully exploit properties.
