Indoor localization of wireless nodes is a relevant task for sensor networks with mobile using robots. Despite the fact that outdoor successfully performed by Global Positioning System (GPS) technology, indoor environments face several challenges due to multipath signal propagation, reflections from walls and objects, along noise interference. This results in need development new techniques. In this paper, Long-Range Wide-Area Network (LoRaWAN) technology employed address problems. A novel approach proposed, based on preliminary division room into sectors Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) fingerprinting technique combined machine learning (ML). Among various ML methods, Gated Recurrent Unit (GRU) model reached most accurate results, achieving accuracies 94.54%, 91.02%, 85.12% across three scenarios 256 sectors. Analysis cumulative error distribution function revealed average 0.384 m, while mean absolute 0.246 m. These demonstrate proposed sectorization method effectively mitigates effects nonlinear ensuring precise indoors.

With the proliferation of IoT-based applications, security requirements are becoming increasingly stringent. Given diversity such systems, selecting most appropriate solutions and technologies to address challenges is a complex activity. This paper provides an exhaustive evaluation existing related IoT domain, analysing studies published between 2021 2025. review explores evolving landscape security, identifying key focus areas, challenges, proposed as presented in recent research. Evaluating the sustainability of smart cities is crucial for promoting sustainable development. Traditionally, this evaluation process has traditionally been carried out using Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis approach.
