Collagen peptides have been reported to display various bioactivities and high bioavailability. Recently, increasing evidence has revealed the excellent wound-healing activity of collagen peptides, but their molecular mechanisms remain incompletely elucidated. This review systematically evaluates therapeutic efficacy from diverse sources based on wound models. Furthermore, structure-activity relationships are discussed summarized. Characterized by low weight abundant imino acids, facilitate efficient absorption body deliver nutrition throughout process. The specific mechanism peptide for healing is mainly through up-regulation related cytokines participation in activation relevant signaling pathways, such as TGF-β/Smad PI3K/Akt/mTOR, which can promote cell proliferation, angiogenesis, synthesis deposition, re-epithelialization, ECM remodeling, ultimately achieving effect healing. offer a potential approach treating incision excision wounds, mucosal injuries, burn pressure ulcers, improving efficiency about 10%-30%. present contributes understanding underlying mechanisms.

Cowhide collagen hydrolysates (CCHs) are peptides and amino acids obtained from the partial hydrolysis of collagen. These have numerous potential applications in food, biomedical, pharmaceutical industries. The study analyzed physicochemical, antioxidant, anti-atherosclerosis properties cowhide using silico methods. Proteins were identified based on their molecular weights origin protein database (UniProtKB). Using bioinformatics tools, physicochemical (toxicity acid composition) determined. proteins subsequently subjected to an enzymatic pepsin, thermolysin, proteinase K. characterized. Molecular docking was conducted between generated three target enzymes (3-Hydroxy-3-Methylglutaryl-CoA (HMG-CoA) reductase, cyclooxygenase-2, Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide Phosphate (NADPH) oxidase). Two collagens identified, F1MJQ6 G3MZI7, with 172,076 184,867 Dalton, respectively. A compositional analysis G3MZI7 revealed significant presence glycine residues at 25% 23%, proline 16% 18%, exhibited a high concentration both essential semi-essential acids. results indicate that antioxidant ADF, PHF, LW (novel released by K) most promising candidates for further development as inhibitors HMG-CoA cyclo-oxygenase-2, NADPH oxidase. Background: Our objective was to conduct a systematic review of the effects hydrolyzed collagen supplementation on proliferation and activation fibroblasts. Methods: The search conducted for journals that published articles in English language, peer-reviewed, meeting following criteria: (a) randomized clinical trials, (b) studies animals or humans, (c) vitro studies, (d) using collagens peptides, (e) assessing alterations fibroblasts as primary secondary outcome. We utilized main journal databases PubMed/Web Science ongoing reviews by PROSPERO. For bias risk methodological quality, we used an adaptation Downs Black checklist. followed PRISMA checklist, from February 2024 first week March 2024, two independent researchers (P.A.Q.I. R.P.V.). Results: Eleven were included this review, where our findings reinforce notion peptides at concentrations 50–500 μg/mL are sufficient stimulate human animal tissues without inducing toxicity. Different enzymatic processes may confer distinct biological properties collagens, allowing scenarios favoring fibroblast promotion antioxidant effects. Lastly, with lower molecular weights exhibit greater bioavailability adjacent tissues. Conclusions: Hydrolyzed sizes ranging <3 3000 KDa promote stimulation
