Circadian disruption has been found to increase the risk of metabolic diseases, brain disorders, and cancer. The aryl hydrocarbon receptor (AhR), responsible for xenobiotic metabolism, is known be activated by certain environmental stimuli, including polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs). Exposure these stimuli may lead diseases related circadian disruption, with AhR activation suggested as a leading cause. Abstract Frying is a popular cooking method that produces delicious and crispy foods but can also lead to oil degradation the formation of health‐detrimental compounds in dishes. Chemical reactions such as oxidation, hydrolysis, polymerization contribute these changes. In this context, emerging technologies like ultrasound‐assisted frying (USF) microwave (MW)‐assisted show promise enhancing quality stability oils fried foods. This review examines impact innovative technologies, delving into principles processes, their influence on chemical composition oils, implications for overall food products with focus reducing nutritional sensory properties food. Additionally, article initially addresses various occurring during process influencing factors. The advantages challenges USF MW‐assisted are highlighted comparison traditional methods, demonstrating how techniques have potential improve

ABSTRACT Polyphenols are secondary metabolites produced by a large variety of plants. These compounds that comprise the class phenolic acids, stilbenes, lignans, coumarins, flavonoids, and tannins have wide range employment, from food production to medical usages. Among beneficial applications polyphenols, their antiviral activity is gaining importance due increased prevalence drug‐resistant viruses such as herpes hepatitis B viruses. In present review, we provide an overview most promising or commonly used polyphenols mechanisms action focusing on effects enveloped clinical (double‐stranded linear partially double‐stranded circular DNA viruses, negative sense single‐stranded RNA with nonsegmented segmented genomes, positive viruses). The work emphasizes relevance in particular epigallocatechin‐3‐gallate resveratrol, alternative supportive antivirals. could interfere virtually all steps viral infection, adsorption release particles. against especially relevant given risk widespread outbreaks associated remarked recent COVID‐19 pandemic.

Argemone mexicana L. has been used in traditional Mexican medicine. Among its bioactive constituents, berberine (BER) garnered attention for cytotoxic properties against different tumor cell lines. This study investigates the vitro toxicity HEP-G2 (human hepatocellular carcinoma) and murine lymphoma (L5178Y-R) cells using MTT assay of methanol extract (AmexM), sub-partitions A. mexicana, BER. Selectivity indices (SIs) were determined by comparing their effects on VERO (monkey kidney epithelial) PBMC peripheral blood mononuclear) non-tumoral cells. Additionally, anti-hemolytic effect these treatments was assessed AAPH method. The treatment with most promising activity efficacy underwent further evaluation Artemia salina antioxidant activities DPPH, ABTS, FRAP assays. BER demonstrated an IC50 = 56.86 µg/mL < 5.0 L5178Y-R cells, SI values 15.97 >5.40 respectively. No significant hemolytic observed, although AmexM exhibited highest activity. also superior efficacy, lower nauplii compared to control. significantly attenuated nitric oxide production. highlights antiproliferative particularly BER, lines, along selectivity towards normal Furthermore, potentials demonstrated, suggesting that is a candidate potent chemotherapeutic agents.

Recycling citrus peel waste offers several significant contributions to sustainability, transforming what would otherwise be discarded into valuable resources. In this study, the colour of sausages stored for 16 days, with varying amounts orange extract added modified casing solution, was evaluated using response surface methodology (RSM) and a hyperspectral imaging system within spectral range 350–1100 nm first time. To enhance model performance, pre-treatments such as normalisation, derivative, standard normal variate (SNV), second multiplicative scatter correction (MSC) were applied. Both raw pre-treated data, along attributes, fitted partial least squares regression model. The RSM results indicated that highest R2 value, 80.61%, achieved b* (yellowness) parameter second-order polynomial interactive effects soy oil extracts on found (p < 0.05), square at 1% level. identified key wavelengths parameters can simplify model, making it more suitable practical industrial applications.
