In order to meet the demand for coordinated development of agricultural waste utilization and water-saving agriculture, this study utilized celery tailings (CT) make a super-absorbent hydrogel by chemical cross-linking. The was optimized screened. demonstrated optimal CT-gel synthesis method: 7.5 wt% CT, 0.05 MBA cross-linker, 70 °C 2 h. gel had water absorption 708 g/g retention more than 20% at 25 on day 10. soil increased with time dosage. sandy soils, 0.6% most effective. pot experiment showed that 2% significantly height growth rate radish seedlings. This effectively various components CT provided scalable approach converting into functional materials, which is valuable arid improvement sustainable agriculture.
