How to improve preschool parenting practice for a more equitable parent engagement is still challenge families and schools, especially parents in undesirable social economic environment. We approach this through case study of H city, one the third batch resource-exhausted cities, Heilongjiang Province, China. Through analysis 765 parents’ responses, we find that parents, such circumstance, appear overprotective their children. Children authoritarian have lower psychological bearing capacity, weaker sense responsibility self-control. Considerable number preschoolers serious problem procrastination.
