All children have the right to be adequately informed about sex and sexuality, while education for students with intellectual disabilities in Malaysia is limited. This study aimed to conduct a scoping review collect current literature on the knowledge, awareness, and perception (KAP) of sexually transmitted infections/diseases (STIs/STDs) among women in Asia. The PRISMA-Scoping methodology was used this extract papers from four databases published between 2018 2022. Sixty-eight articles were included after screening elimination. studies KAP STIs/STDs largely undertaken Southeast Asia (Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam) South (India, Pakistan, Bangladesh). Regardless specific cohort studied, research indicates consistently low levels knowledge awareness across trend seems be more prevalent female commercial sex workers, with lower educational levels, those poorer socioeconomic positions. In Asia, cultural, sociological, economic, gender inequalities, particularly male domination, all have significant impact levels. As education is major factor that influences health behaviour, underscores need allocate resources initiatives, targeting vulnerable groups such as transgender women, pregnant rural housewives. strategic focus may contribute significantly preventing STIs/STDs, less developed regions/countries.
