Background Weight and body shape concerns have become increasingly common among adolescents. Chinese university students show a high risk of eating disorder behaviors. This study aims to analyze the moderating effect BMI on relationships between shape, attitudes, subjective norms, behavioral intentions female using Theory Reasoned Action (TRA) model. Methods A stratified random sample 679 (age, mean ± SD = 19.792 1.007) participated in study. The surveys comprised Questionnaire (TRA-Q) Body Shape (BS-Q) assess their regarding disorders. Structural equation modeling was used test extended TRA model, with as an additional predictor moderator. Results positively affected attitudes ( β 0.444, p < 0.001), norms 0.506, 0.374, 0.001). significantly moderated t −3.012, 0.01), −2.678, shapes −4.485, 0.001) toward intentions. Conclusion directly influence students. findings suggest that young women’s are influenced by external factors related BMI.

Subjectivity of Obese Female Adolescents in South Korea Regarding Ego-Types and Characteristics DOI Open Access

Background/Objectives: The current study aims to explore the subjective ego types and characteristics of obese female adolescents in South Korea, providing insights into their self-perception psychosocial challenges. Methods: Utilizing Q-methodology, a total 49 Q-statements were derived from comprehensive Q-population. From these, 20 diagnosed with obesity selected as P-Sample. Q-sorting was conducted, data collected analyzed using PQ Method software version 2.35, employing centroid factor analysis varimax rotation. Results: results revealed five distinct types, accounting for cumulative explanatory variance 63%. Type 1 (N = 5) characterized "obsession weight loss". 2 3) identified "overreacting peer gaze". 3 6) labeled "lack confidence daily life". 4 4) described "difficulty adapting school Finally, 5 2) "passivity physical activity". Furthermore, consensus statements among each type examined Q4 Q7. Conclusions: These findings provide adolescents, emphasizing need tailored psychological interventions improve self-image well-being.

Eating disorders are serious health issues among young people that contribute to increased morbidity rates. Background Eating disorders are illnesses that can seriously impair the health and wellbeing of patients. Written emotional disclosure has been recognized as a therapeutic technique may be helpful in aiding patients’ psychological adjustment. However, it is unclear what favorable effects eating disorder patients derive from written therapy. This study aimed to review effectiveness treating using systematic meta-analysis.
