In this study we focused on the need to fill a knowledge gap among Italian botanical studies namely that of ornamental species census. particular, addressed one regions in southern Italy with less field such and an obvious presence non-native species. A widespread census Apulian territory was carried out between 2021 2024 both urban suburban areas including street trees, parks, private historic gardens. The inventory shrubs, succulents Apulia (southern Italy) six provinces, i.e., Bari, Barletta-Andria-Trani, Brindisi, Foggia, Lecce, Taranto. checklist comprises 287 taxa (including 265 species, 6 varieties, 5 subspecies, 11 forms) included 179 genera belonging 78 families. ABSTRACT The rapid spread of Xylella fastidiosa subsp. pauca (Xfp) in the Salento area (Apulia region, southern Italy) has caused extensive socio‐economic damage to olive oil supply chain. This research evaluates impact ‘Xfp treatment’ on selected economic and social variables using a counterfactual approach. We applied propensity score matching difference‐in‐difference estimator sample Italian Farm Accountancy Data Network panel olive‐growing farms. study compared outcomes farms affected by Xfp invasion before (2008–2012) after (2017–2021), with control group unaffected Xfp. results showed that performance Salento's is lower than outside region but comparable similarly Regarding Xfp, Gross Operating Margin had an Average Treatment Effect Treated around −€837 per hectare, indicating reduction profitability, amounting total loss €132 million across infected area.
