The status of Bactrocera dorsalis as a destructive pest fruits including mango continues to be challenge among farmers at Ghana. Although chemical insecticides have been employed manage its incidence and damage, there still exist gaps that need addressed concerns on toxic residues the possibility resistance evolvement by this insecticides. alternate management for fruit fly should therefore environmentally friendly with minimal side effects. objective was compare attractiveness homemade lures aqueous leaf extract Pimenta racemosa commercial attractant containing methyl eugenol. research involved use extracts trap conducted in five orchards two agro-ecological zones Ghana during major fruiting season 2017. Three experimental were each sectioned into blocks 20 trees each. Four block formed sampling making per orchard received treatments. dispensed traps made PET containers. A total 174,388 individual arthropods captured which 171,412 identified B. 2,976 non-target arthropods. There significant difference between performance lure (P < 0.05) expected. ability capture some flies is an indication potential low-cost option complement more expensive small farm holdings.

High temperatures, high relative humidity, and frequent rainfall limit productivity quality of red chili pepper (Capsicum annuum L) with 30,000 to 50,000 Scoville units. Growers in greenhouses use shading screens incidence radiation order avoid the issue too temperatures radiation.
