COVID-19
has

The
Coronavirus-19
(COVID-19)
pandemic
has
many
psychological
consequences
for
the
population,
ranging
from
anxious-depressive
symptoms
and
insomnia
to
complex
post-traumatic
syndromes.
This
study
aimed
evaluate
impact
of
Covid-19
on
mental
well-being
healthcare
workers,
focusing
association
between
hopelessness,
death
anxiety,
symptomatology.
Eight
hundred
forty-two
workers
were
recruited
21
March
2020
15
May
2020.
A
specific
questionnaire
was
administered
assess
socio-demographic
clinical
characteristics,
together
with
psychometric
scales:
Beck
Hopelessness
Scale,
Death
Anxiety
Scale
(DAS),
Davidson
Trauma
(DTS).
Respondents
hopelessness
scored
higher
in
DAS
DTS
than
respondents
without
hopelessness.
Furthermore,
anxiety
identified
as
a
potential
mediator
significant
should
be
recognized
vulnerable
populations,
such
frontline
workers.
Therefore,
pharmacological
non-pharmacological
strategies

Objective
We
