Abstract Background: Recent studies have shown that chronic kidney disease (CKD) prevalence is significantly higher in patients with hepatic steatosis (HS); however, it remains unclear whether HS associated serum creatinine (SCr). We aimed to explore the association between SCr levels and a Chinese population. Methods: performed cross-sectional study among 56569 individuals. level, other clinical laboratory parameters, abdominal ultrasound noninvasive fibrosis scores were extracted, 4 score (FIB-4) was calculated. Although the association between non-alcoholic fatty liver disease and chronic kidney (CKD) has been well known, it is unclear whether Fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) score a predictor of CKD development. We performed this retrospective cohort study, with longitudinal analysis 5-year follow-up data from Japanese annual health check-ups. Participants (estimated glomerular filtration rate [eGFR] < 60 mL/min/1.73 m2 and/or proteinuria) habit alcohol consumption were excluded. The cut-off FIB-4 was 1.30, indicating increased risk fibrosis. Overall, 5353 participants (men only) analyzed without exclusion criteria. After propensity matching, high (≥ 1.30) not an independent factor for incident (odds ratio [OR] 1.57; 95% confidence interval [CI] 0.97-2.56). However, significant in non-obese (OR 1.92; CI 1.09-3.40), non-hypertensive 2.15; 1.16-3.95), or non-smoking 1.88; 1.09-3.23) participants. In these participants, strongly associated eGFR decline multiple linear regression (β = - 2.8950, P 0.011). Therefore, may be significantly incidence after 5 years metabolically healthy

This study aimed to clarify the relationship between liver fibrosis scores (Fibrosis-4, BARD score, and BAAT score) chronic kidney disease (CKD).We collected a range of data from 11,503 subjects (5,326 men 6,177 women) rural regions Northeastern China. Three (LFSs) including fibrosis-4 (FIB-4), score were adopted. A logistic regression analysis was used calculate odds ratios 95% confidence interval. subgroup showed association LFSs CKD under different stratifications. Restricted cubic spline could further explore whether there is linear CKD. Finally, we C-statistics, Net Reclassification Index (NRI), Integrated Discrimination Improvement (IDI) assess effect each LFS on CKD.Through baseline characteristics, observed that higher in population than non-CKD. The proportion participants with also increased LFSs. In multivariate analysis, ORs 6.71 (4.45-10.13) FIB-4, 1.88 (1.29-2.75) 1.72 (1.28-2.31) by comparing high level low Moreover, after adding original risk prediction model, which consisted age, sex, drinking, smoking, diabetes, low-density lipoprotein cholesterol, total triglycerides, mean waist circumference, found new models have C-statistics. Furthermore, NRI IDI both indicate had positive model. Our are associated among middle-aged populations areas northeastern

Abstract Objectives To investigate the association between liver fibrosis score and diabetic kidney disease (DKD) in type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). Methods A total of 897 hospitalized patients with T2DM were included this study. Each patient completed DKD screening. Logistic regression analysis was used to assess predictive value non-alcoholic fatty (NAFLD-FS) fibrosis-4 (FIB-4) for occurrence risk progression, respectively. Results The prevalence its progression significantly increased increasing NAFLD-FS category. also FIB-4 Multivariate logistic showed that “high-risk” had a higher (odds ratio [OR]: 1.89, 95% confidence interval [CI]: 1.16–3.08) (OR: 2.88, CI: 1.23–6.78), “intermediate-risk” 1.41, 1.00–1.98). Subgroup significant female subgroup, whereas male subgroup. Conclusions are strongly associated T2DM. Additionally, sexual dimorphism exists association.

Background The fibrosis-4 (FIB4) index, a simple, noninvasive marker used for hepatic diseases, represents adverse outcomes. aim of the present study was to evaluate whether FIB4 index can predict outcomes in patients with ST-elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI). Methods We investigated STEMI who underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) and were alive at discharge. cut-off discharge using survival classification regression tree (CART) model outcome all-cause mortality. Results Between January 2006 December 2018, 1354 (median age, 68 years; men, 76.1%) investigated. median value 1.21 (0.84–1.78). CART divided population into low (FIB4 <0.945; n = 435), intermediate (0.945 ≤ < 2.185; 692), high ≥2.185; 227) groups based on significant predictive values death. During follow-up period 4.3 years, death occurred 208 (15.4%). Kaplan–Meier analysis showed increase mortality higher (log-rank, P 0.001). multivariate Cox revealed that an independent risk predictor [low group as reference vs. group, hazard ratio: 1.975; 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.166–3.346; 0.011 4.633; CI: 2.549–8.418; 0.001]. Conclusions associated PCI.
