Objectives To describe the clinical profile of a sample Saudi patients with Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). Method A retrospective chart review FND seen from 2021-2023 at neuropsychiatry clinic an academic tertiary care center in Jeddah, Arabia. Results Out 473 during period, 52 (11%) had FND. Mean age was 34 years (standard deviation = 10.7), and 77% were female. Family dispute (39%) most reported risk factor, followed by sexual abuse (15%). The common symptoms nonepileptic seizures (61.5%) abnormal movements (30.8%). Pain 57.7% cognitive 36.5%. frequently attributed to supernatural causes (67.3%). During last follow-up visit, 53.9% symptom improvement, whereas 21.2% no change, 10.2% worsening, 15% lost follow-up. proportion without improvement higher among (45.5% vs 18% respectively, X 2 10.08, df 3, p .018). mean number visits highest reporting worsening lowest change (F 4.21, .017). To address this, this narrative review provides an updated relevant to Arabia region.
