Abstract Background Vitamin D deficiency and systemic inflammation share common pathological mechanisms in muscle loss, cardio-pulmonary function decline, abnormal metabolism, which are linked to chronic conditions, senescence, early mortality. However, their combined effect on mortality older adults has not been well established. This study longitudinal aimed explore the independent associations of serum 25-hydroxyvitamin [25(OH)D] high sensitivity C-reactive protein (hs-CRP) with risk Chinese community-based people. Methods 3072 (86.07 ± 11.87 years, 54.52% female) from Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (2012–2018) were enrolled. Baseline 25(OH)D hs-CRP levels collected, survival information was recorded 2014 2018 follow-up waves. Cox proportional hazard regressions conducted between 25(OH)D, hs-CRP, Demographic characteristics, health behaviors, disease biomarkers adjusted. Results During 10,622.3 person-years (median: 3.51 years), 1321 died, including 448 deaths due cardiovascular (CVD). Increased associated lower higher quantiles, even after adjusting for each other multiple covariates (all P -trend < 0.05). In analyses, highest all-cause (HR: 2.18, 95% CI: 1.73 ~ 2.56), CVD 2.30, 1.64 3.21), non-CVD 2.19, 1.79 2.49) obtained participants both (< 50 nmol/L) (≥ 3.0 mg/L), respectively. We observed significant additive interactions (RERI S >0). Conclusions Low independently jointly, increase community-dwelling adults. Thus, priority should be given detection appropriate intervention individuals vitamin inflammation. Molecular related adverse worthy further investigation.

Background Leisure activity and sleep time are key factors in cognitive impairment, but the impact of their long-term trajectories on incident impairment remains unclear. Objective To examine association leisure trajectories, combined effects with older adults. Methods Data from Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (2008–2018) were analyzed, including adults aged ≥65 who participated at least three surveys. Group-based trajectory modeling explored patterns. Cox proportional-hazards regression model assessed impairment. Results We included 3094 participants a median follow-up 6.07 years. The optimal groups for four three, respectively. low-level group associated an increased risk (HR, 95%CI: 2.07, 1.37–3.13), whereas high-level reduced 0.60, 0.36–0.99). Short was 0.62, 0.41–0.92). Abstract Objective: Independence in everyday functioning has been associated with successful aging and declines may be indicative of pathological cognitive decline. Social determinants health, like economic status access to health care, a]lso play a role functioning. Understanding these factors are particular importance for older Black adults who have had long-standing disparate education, treatments. The current study aimed evaluate social more specifically engagement, as moderators the association between cognition Method: A sample 930 from Rush University: Memory Aging Project, African American Clinical Core, Minority Adult Research Study were used. Participants completed battery neuropsychological testing well questionnaires about their behaviors. Hierarchical linear regressions utilized determine what extent moderated relationship Results: Late life activity reduced effect global on was independently network size increased impairment. Conclusion: Results provide novel information regarding interaction an adult sample. Future interventions benefit emphasis increasing engagement.

In the context of global aging, it is crucial to understand heterogeneity, changing trends, and influencing factors social isolation in older people. 7198 people over 60 China Longitudinal Aging Social Survey 2016 2018 were analyzed, using Latent Profile Analysis, Transition multiple logistic regression analysis. The study identified five categories among people; rural, widowed, with low daily living activity ability, cognitive ability more likely belong category; stability various profiles was strong, but high-level network category had danger medium-level risk time, those high moved into worse categories, while better categories. status adult group heterogeneity transitioned time. findings provide empirical evidence for taking targeted measures based on achieve successful aging.

As life expectancy rises, leisure activities play a more important role in happiness among older adults. This study aims to identify patterns Chinese adults and their relationship with happiness. Further, the changes effect of on by age were examined. used data from 2018 General Social Survey (CGSS). We employed latent profile analysis clarify hierarchical ordered logistic regression analyze between happiness, as well moderating age. First, identified four patterns: Low Overall Leisure, Exercise-Centered Network-Centered High Leisure. Second, Leisure groups associated lower compared group. Finally, increased, progressively higher suggest that when designing activity programs for adults, full consideration should be given needs different groups, tailored promote elderly.

Background Existing research on the association between cognitive function and physical activity in older adults population with disabilities is limited. Additionally, there a need to explore avenues for enhancing longevity quality of life among these individuals. Objective This study aimed investigate independent joint associations levels disabilities. Methods A total 315 (men = 182, women 133), identified based medical evaluation, were recruited from first survey Korean Longitudinal Study Aging (KLoSA). Participants underwent assessments function, (PA), activities daily living (ADLs), instrumental (IADLs), grip strength. Results ADLs ( p < 0.001) IADLs scores significantly higher male normal group compared both female impairment groups. In an unadjusted model, disabled individuals who did not meet recommended PA guidelines showed increased odds ratio dysfunction (OR 2.29, 95% CI 1.32–3.97). Those participating at least 1 day per week also demonstrated elevated 1.22, 1.08–1.38) those engaged regular PA. negative correlation was observed K-MMSE strength r 0.448, 0.001). Conclusion provides robust evidence that do or participate once have likelihood are regularly active.

This study aimed to explore the association between health status (physical, mental, and self-rated health) multidimensional poverty (subjective objective poverty) in older adults. A panel binary logit regression approach was applied four waves of CLHLS data (2008, 2011, 2014, 2018). In total,1,445 individuals were included after cleaning. The mean values proportion physical, 5.73 (87.42%), 0.93 (93.06%), 3.46 (86.7%), respectively, subjective 0.19 (18.51%) 0.21(21.4%). addition, all found be associated with among adults (r = -0.181, r -0.630, -0.321, p < 0.05), that is, better health, lower probability poverty. comparable connection also exists -0.157, 0.05). Furthermore, medical expenditure played a mediation role order effectively alleviate adults, strategies should taken improve level especially physical mental high-aged middle-aged social security pensions further developed adequately reimburse expenditures.
