This
article
systematically
explores
the
realm
of
Resilient
Urban
Design
(RUD)
as
a
proactive
approach
to
addressing
emerging
environmental
challenges.The
paper
commences
with
detailed
background
challenges
anticipated
in
near
future
and
accentuates
necessity
RUD.Through
comprehensive
literature
review,
theoretical
framework
significance
RUD
are
discussed,
along
an
analysis
prominent
strategies
practices
hitherto
employed.A
meticulous
evaluation
previous
research
reveals
points
agreement
disagreement
among
various
scholars,
identifying
gaps
current
knowledge,
particularly
concerning
implementation
diverse
urban
contexts.Observations
on
effectiveness
underlining
critical
role
they
play
mitigating
adapting
concludes
by
drawing
key
inferences
from
suggesting
roadmap
for
research.Recommendations
include
advocating
empirical
assessments,
fostering
interdisciplinary
approaches,
policy
hurdles,
emphasizing
communitycentric
research.It
underscores
pivotal
resilient
design
orchestrating
sustainable,
resilient,
livable
amidst
escalating
adversities.

faces

managing
its
urban
expansion.
