As the world becomes increasingly urbanized, urban governance has attracted more academic attention. There have been some review articles on state of research, as they are in form selected themes by authors, it is difficult to gain a systematic understanding field. This article conducts bibliometrics and domain knowledge map analysis 1280 papers governance. It produces comprehensive picture intellectual structure, evolution trends research topics The findings show scholars from three disciplines covering subfields governance: urbanity, publicity technology. USA, UK mainland China main contributors research. University College London, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Amsterdam, Sheffield key players international collaboration. However, collaboration network rather weak. nine highly researched topics: citizenship, monitoring evaluation, global south development challenges, mobility sustainable development, institutional concept challenge, technological change transformation, metropolitan innovation, politics intergovernmental relations, China. Based highlighted words themes, gradually moves connotation theoretical basis subject practice model governance, then influencing factors evaluation well innovation challenges

With the acceleration in urbanization, surface hardening has increased, urban flooding and soil erosion problems are frequent, water resource management faces great challenges. Sponge city construction can effectively alleviate these by simulating natural cycle constructing blue–green infrastructure. In this study, analytic hierarchy process (AHP) ArcGIS weighted overlay tool were used to construct a framework for assessing suitability of sponge Suzhou from three dimensions Geo-Smart spatial productive forces, Eco-Dynamic green Resilio-Tech responsive forces. A zoning strategy based on new quality forces is also proposed. The results show that be divided into types zones according level: key zones, secondary general zones. account about 28.01% total land area, mainly covering built-up areas Suzhou, developed such as Gusu District, Xiangcheng, Industrial Park, other Northern Kunshan. area hand, 61.94% 10.05% respectively. From study proposes following guidelines zones: (1) enhance coordinated development planning construction; (2) promote infrastructure development, strengthen inter-departmental cooperation, ensure ecological economic co-development; (3) encourage public participation governance. This research offers theoretical practical guidance cities perspective

The implementation of grey and green infrastructure is an effective mean to address urban flooding nonpoint source pollution, but due the complexity process diver-sity benefits, there a lack measurement for their comprehensive benefits. Adopting typ-ical university in Beijing as example, this paper simulated multidimensional benefits water quantity, quality, ecology facility renovation by coupling storm management model (SWMM) InfoWorks Integrated Catchment Manage-ment (ICM). Monetization methods economical means were employed characterize results showed that retrofitting re-duces number severe overflow nodes study area 54.35%, total vol-ume 22.17%, pollution level approximately 80% under heavy rain scenario 60% rainstorm scenario. annual infra-structure reached ¥765,600/year, amount, ¥83,100/year from hydrological regulation, ¥454,100/year reduction, ¥228,300/year ecological improvement. facilities higher than those facilities, combined negatively correlated with rainfall level, bene-fit–cost ratio 1.19. provide methodological data support in-frastructure within context sponge cities.

As one of the swiftly advancing megacities globally, Lagos faces significant challenges in managing its urban expansion. Mainly, this study focuses on monitoring and predicting growth using a comprehensive approach incorporating Global Land 30 (GL30), satellite-based nighttime light observations, built-up population density data. The application remote sensing techniques, combined with utilizing GL30 dataset, provides an effective means to monitor predict trends patterns. major patterns occurred from 2000 2020, including increased cultivated land; reductions grasslands, shrublands, wetlands; urbanization. Predictive models indicate that urbanization will continue. Furthermore, employing Cellular Automata (CA) Markov model land-use land-cover (LULC) change prediction. findings revealed changes LULC over two decades. Particularly, percentage artificial terrain 17.016% 25.208%, area under cultivation significantly, rising 46,771 km2 (1.238%) 75,283 (1.993%) 2020. Grasslands fell 7.839% 1.875%, while forest cover somewhat increased, climbing 39.319% 43.081%. Additionally, marshes 9.788% 5.646%, shrublands decreased 4.421% 2.640%. Surprisingly, bare ground sharply 0.677% 0.003%. To forecast future changes, also used Chain Transition Matrix. According data, there is 3.54% chance agricultural land become urban, converting it being for agriculture development. On other hand, just 1.05% forested regions were likely municipal areas. This offers foundations upcoming research enhance sustainability strategies face environmental concerns region, as well laying groundwork informed decision-making region.
