This research explores how technology can be used to understand and identify activities among elderly individuals. By utilizing HAR70+ data applying methods like Active Learning (AL), Machine (ML), Deep (DL), this aims predict various performed by older adults. Moreover, the study leverages dataset, providing insight into daily of individuals AL-based ML DL techniques construct predictive models for these activities. The experiments are presented systematically, summarizing outcomes machine-learning across three iterative experiments. explored a diverse array algorithms, including Random Forest (RF), Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGBoost), Logistic Regression (LR), K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), Stochastic Descent (SGB) such as Neural Networks (DNN) Long Short-Term Memory networks (LSTM) experimentation. trained on 7 activities: walking, shuffling, climbing stairs (up down), standing, sitting, lying down, 4 separately: using same method. Results reveal that LSTM achieved best accuracy 0.98 0.95 RF actives, showing potential techniques, particularly when integrated with AL, enhance activity recognition rate, patient care, optimize medication strategies improve well-being

Virtual sample generation (VSG), as a cutting-edge technique, has been successfully applied in machine learning-assisted materials design and discovery. A virtual without experimental validation is defined an unknown sample, which either expanded from the original data distribution for modeling or designed via algorithms predicting. This review aims to discuss applications of VSG techniques discovery based on research progress recent years. First, we summarize commonly used expansion training set, including Bootstrap, Monte Carlo, particle swarm optimization, mega trend diffusion, Gaussian mixture model, random forest, generative adversarial networks. Next, frequently employed searching are introduced, efficient global proactive progress. Then, universally adopted inverse methods presented, genetic algorithm, Bayesian pattern recognition projection. Finally, future directions proposed.

Objective This qualitative study explored the experiences, preparedness, instructional practices and roles of preceptors supervising nursing students in a clinical setting. Design Exploratory descriptive employing semi-structured interviews. Setting A district hospital Kumasi Metropolis accredited for training practice. Participants 12 nurse preceptors, each holding at least Bachelor Science Nursing. Major findings Findings revealed gaps preparation lack clear definition preceptors’ responsibilities from outset, contributing to feelings under-preparedness. While demonstrating inherent strengths like using probing questions, prompting techniques assuming multifaceted roles, including role modelling, coaching teaching, expressed uncertainty about over-reliance on passive demonstration-based teaching. Environmental barriers noise concerns hindered adoption more interactive, student-centred pedagogies. Conclusion The highlights need comprehensive preceptor programmes that provide robust onboarding, set expectations equip with diverse evidence-based teaching methodologies tailored healthcare contexts. Continued research involving larger samples, multimodal data stakeholder perspectives can inform ongoing programme refinement.

Dental materials science is an important subject, but research on curriculum mapping in preclinical dental courses still scarce. The present study aimed to conduct a analysing elements and suggesting recommendations for institutional course.Curriculum was conducted the Year 2 undergraduate course (Bachelor of Surgery programme) Malaysian school. Based Harden's framework, following steps were used map course: (1) scoping task; (2) deciding format; (3) populating windows, (4) establishing links. Two analysts reviewed independently. Their respective analyses compared, discrepancies discussed until reaching consensus. A SWOT analysis also evaluate strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats associated with curriculum.Course learning outcomes, contents, levels cognitive psychomotor competencies, resources, locations, assessments, timetable, staff, management students' information successfully scoped from course. curriculum's strengths included comprehensiveness, alignment standards, adequate well-defined assessment methods, sufficient resources. However, identified weaknesses repetition content, limited emphasis domain, dependency single academic integration technology. highlighted opportunities improvement, such as revising repetitive emphasising incorporating advanced teaching strategies technology. The demonstrated several some areas improvement. findings suggested need revise optimise content address gaps enhance student outcomes. Ongoing monitoring evaluation are necessary ensure remains aligned emerging trends advancements science.

Abstract Background Flipped classroom (FC) model has become increasingly popular in dental education (DE) with its strengths for students. However, major concerns are lack of interaction, unwillingness to complete the assignments, low engagement during pre‐class activities because an unwell‐designed instructional setting FC. Objectives The recent study aims investigate effects video‐driven discussions integrated into flipped (VdDs‐FC) on students' (DSs) learning achievement, practical performance, and higher‐order thinking skills a restorative dentistry course. Methods This adopted sequential explanatory design from mixed‐methods research. A total 96 DSs participated faculty Türkiye. They were randomly divided two groups: VdDs‐FC group conventional (c‐FC) group. Results conclusions results showed that had significant positive performance subjects their problem‐solving critical skills. there was no difference between groups achievement creativity. use FC c‐FC did not lead any achievements. Moreover, qualitative indicated potential enhancing peer learning, activities, Implications also includes several implications suggestions educators, researchers, practitioners dentistry.
