Abstract
Background
There

need
to

understand
the

planning
for

lifestyle
in
retirement.

Outdoor
adventure
activities
are
increasingly
popular
among
older
adults.
We
conducted
a
scoping
review
to
examine
trends
in
the
scholarly
literature
on
this
topic.
Several
interdisciplinary
databases
were
searched,
and
studies
independently
screened
for
eligibility
during
two
rounds
of
(title
abstract,
full
text).
Our
included
34
peer-reviewed
articles
with
text
available
English
that
substantially
described
outdoor
programming
adults,
and/or
adults'
experiences
of,
or
attitudes
towards
activities.
Results
suggest
participation
can
contribute
significantly
wellbeing
However,
due
strict
alignment
ideals

aging
present
many
articles,
potential
an
'authentic
aging'
lens
