To study the corresponding strategies to control stomach cancer, a comprehensive assessment of disease burden is required. Herein, we present long-term trends in cancer China over past three decades, as well its epidemiological features. We characterized using GBD 2021 methods and results, based on prevalence, incidence, mortality, years life lost (YLLs), lived with disability (YLDs), disability-adjusted (DALYs) estimated DisMod-MR 2-1. also used joinpoint age-period-cohort (APC) analysis interpret characteristics project next decade, compare these global prevalence patterns. Pterostilbene (PTS), a naturally occurring analog of resveratrol (RSV), has garnered significant attention due to its potential therapeutic effects in treating inflammatory and oncological diseases. This comprehensive review elucidates the pharmacological properties, mechanisms action, PTS. Various studies indicate that PTS exhibits anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antitumour potentially making it promising candidate for clinical applications. Its influence on regulatory pathways like NF-κB PI3K/Akt underscores diverse strategies addressing Additionally, showcases favorable pharmacokinetic profile with better oral bioavailability compared other stilbenoids, thus enhancing potential. Given these findings, there is an increased interest incorporating into treatment regimens cancer-related conditions. However, more extensive trials are imperative establish safety efficacy patient populations.

Abstract Background Gastrointestinal tract (GIT) cancers are the most lethal with a high incidence and poor prognosis. Vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) glycoprotein plays an essential role in tumour neovascularization, especially of gastrointestinal tract. There numerous functional polymorphisms reported VEGF which lead to either upregulation or downregulation expression. Objective The present review focuses on influencing risk prognosis various GIT cancers. Method study This systematic was done by Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews Meta-analyses (PRISMA) guidelines, Participant, Intervention, Comparison, Outcomes Studies (PICOS) criteria were followed designing study. A total 183 articles retrieved from Google Scholar, PubMed ScienceDirect using keywords. After full-text evaluation applying literature selection criteria, 108 selected review. promoter transcription binding sites (TFBS) studied performing silico analysis. Results article summarized findings studies associations effect cancer varied between different ethnicities analysis revealed that alter TFBS, leading attenuation activity factors might have importance development. Conclusion is as important biomarker studying disease susceptibility, progression

Metabolic reprogramming within the tumor microenvironment (TME) plays a critical role in driving drug resistance gastrointestinal cancers (GI), particularly through pathways of fatty acid oxidation and glycolysis. Cancer cells often rewire their metabolism to sustain growth reshape TME, creating conditions such as nutrient depletion, hypoxia, acidity that impair antitumor immune responses. Immune TME also undergo metabolic alterations, frequently adopting immunosuppressive phenotypes promote progression reduce efficacy therapies. The competition for essential nutrients, glucose, between cancer compromises functions effector cells, T cells. Additionally, by-products like lactate kynurenine further suppress activity populations, including regulatory M2 macrophages. Targeting glycolysis presents new opportunities overcome improve therapeutic outcomes GI cancers. Modulating these key has potential reinvigorate exhausted shift toward phenotypes, enhance effectiveness immunotherapies other treatments. Future strategies will require continued research into metabolism, development novel inhibitors, clinical trials evaluating combination Identifying validating biomarkers be crucial patient stratification treatment monitoring. Insights may have broader implications across multiple types, offering avenues improving treatment.

Flavonoids are a group of polyphenolic compounds distributed in vegetables, fruits and other plants, which have considerable antioxidant, anti‑tumor anti‑inflammatory activities. Several types gastrointestinal (GI) cancer the most common malignant tumors world. A large number studies shown that flavonoids inhibitory effects on cancer, they recognized as class potential drugs. Therefore, present review investigated molecular mechanisms treatment different GI summarized drug delivery systems commonly used to improve their bioavailability. First, classification therapeutic various human diseases were briefly introduced. Then, clarify mechanism action body, metabolic process body associated signaling pathways causing five discussed, well corresponding targets flavonoids. Finally, clinical settings, poor water solubility, low permeability inferior stability, lead absorption efficiency vivo. three widely summarized. Gastrointestinal (GI) cancers, including gastric, liver, esophageal, pancreatic, and colorectal represent significant global health burdens. Emerging evidence suggests that dietary patterns, particularly their inflammatory oxidative properties, may influence cancer risk. The Dietary Inflammatory Index (DII) Oxidative Balance Score (DOBS) assess the effects of diets, respectively. This study aims to explore association between DII, DOBS, combined risk GI investigates potential mediating roles serum albumin red cell distribution width (RDW).
