Objectives To assess the seroprevalence of infection-acquired SARS-CoV-2 and mental health school/daycare staff in months after reopening schools Montreal, Quebec (Canada) Fall 2020 whether these varied by school participant characteristics. Design A cross-sectional design based on a convenience sample schools/daycares was used as originally planned longitudinal no longer feasible due to obstacles recruitment, for example, teacher’s strike. Setting Forty-nine four Montreal neighbourhoods from March October 2021. Participants Three-hundred sixty-two participants completed both questionnaires serology tests. Primary secondary outcome measures prevalence anxiety, depression, resilience burnout/emotional exhaustion. Results The estimate made representative population educators 8.6% (95% CI 5.2 13.0). adjusted high 20% that elementary (aRR=0.20, 95% 0.07 0.58). Thirty per cent seropositive were exposed household member with confirmed COVID-19. Prevalence emotional exhaustion/burnout 35%, 44% 53% daycare, staff, respectively. After adjusting confounders, being very afraid catching COVID-19 at associated moderate–severe exhaustion (aRR=4.4, 2.2 8.9; aRR=2.8, 1.5 5.4; aRR=2.2, 1.6 3.0, respectively).
