In the wake of post-COVID-era anti-Asian hate, Asian American employees at a two-year community and technical college have been grappling with mental health challenges while steadfastly carrying out their responsibilities. The purpose this study was help create supportive system so could achieve professional goals personal well-being. Participants in Cycle 1 shared specific as members minority group that is not well understood. Data collected from participant interviews coded via MAXQDA 2020 resulted three main themes: Cultural differences, Underrepresentation Asians leadership positions, Model stereotypes. 2 action step consisted my presentation employees' challenges, sharing by leader panelists, mentor mentee sponsorship. ABSTRACT This paper is an introduction and review for the special issue of AJBA on Curation Use Human Skeletal Remains Teaching Research , which emerged from organized session at American Association Biological Anthropologists in 2022. Abstract This paper, co-authored by two adult academics and three young researchers aged 11 to 16, investigates the authors’ collective experiences in a participatory research project about growing up multilingual with Chinese heritage migration background, where race racism emerged as key themes. Drawing on critical dialectical pluralism concept of “reflexivities discomfort,” we explore how co-constructing children people can enrich process. Abstract Objective The study explored the mediating role of Chinese American parents' ethnic–racial identity (ERI) in linking their discrimination experiences, socialization (ERS), and children's mental health, testing whether neighborhood racial diversity perceived density moderated these mediation paths. Background During COVID‐19, families faced increased discrimination, impacting well‐being. However, few studies have examined how experiences influence ERI, ERS practice, ultimately health difficulties. Method Data from 294 immigrant parents ( M age = 44.28, 79% female) were collected two waves, 2020 2021. Path analysis tested if parental affects ERI ERS, health. Multigroup assessed models varied for living communities with low versus high or density. Results Parental racism‐related stress at T1 had significant indirect effects on practices (higher use maintenance heritage culture lower avoidance outgroups practice) T2 via (greater private regard) T2. (perceived sinophobia media stress) difficulties (use practices) model. BACKGROUND Background: Racism against Asian Americans (AAs) escalated during the COVID-19 pandemic. The degree of impact racism has on mental health and wellness among requires investigation, specifically OBJECTIVE METHODS Methods: We conducted an integrative review peer-reviewed publications in English reporting anti-Asian sentiments racism’s impacts US. RESULTS Results: 28 eligible articles utilized cross-sectional survey designs with various sample sizes. is directly correlated prevalence depression anxiety experienced by victims racist acts. in-person direct (racist expression aimed at victim) lower than indirect ethnic group victim belongs to). During pandemic, incidence explicit online was racism. CONCLUSIONS Conclusions: COVID-19-related exacerbated preexisting racism, contributing to worse Americans. To address this issue, we propose two main approaches: increase public awareness education about recognizable sentiments/acts, systematized racially motivated crimes guide political action. At individual level, culturally responsive trauma-informed interventions promoting cultural support cohesion for American groups will foster empowerment.
